ok i've worked it out and if i keep my numbers straight i can save up enough money over the summer to get a killer setup (only got a a-5 with RT pre installed and a boomstick + 20oz co2 right now). so ive decided to get a force 4 (gunmetal) :) but i need some help. should i get halo b or evo2 w/ z-board? should i get AIR 65/4500 or max flo 65/4500 and use extra money to buy 14 in dye boomstick? i figured i could prob just get the boomstick as chrismas gift or smtn but i just want to see what you guys think my setup should be.

Id say get the egg/z and angel air, and the boomstick would make a excelent x-mas gift.
and BTW they have all of these items at the sponsors...
good luck!

Before buying a boomstick just because it's a boomstick, think about what kind of paint you use the most and try to get a good paint to barrel match. Boomsticks can also be found in different bore sizes, but you can also get a nice barrel kit just as cheap as 1 boomstick will cost you.

I would personally advise going with a set of barrels rather then a kit. A lot of kits seem to have issues with them, the one that seems to be going strong is the Freak (I cant believe im recomending an SP product *shudder*) because now you can get SS inserts instead of the crappy aluminium ones. Me personally ive started to buy the DYE TI Boomy's very pricy for one barrel, but it will last me the rest of my life, and I do plan on shooting angels for a long time so its worth it to me. As for the EGG 2 with Z Board, have a fun time trying to find one, and if you do let me know cause I want one.

I'd also recommend the 68ci/4500psi Crossfire LP Preset. Saves you over $100 on the air system and the functionality is just the same. Not to mention a savings in weight and maintenance.

well... LMFAO AT I HATE EMMIT SMILY LOL... anyway i think ill get a barrel for christmas so i can go with angel air because i want adjustable and seeing that ken services airs (yea i know for money) and that the smart parts is well a smart parts LOL and it has almost no drop foward options (from what i hear) i will stick with AIR. but as for hopper im still a little baffeled. i hear that halo b is the best but than some say its a mess and the evos are the best and blah blah blah plus the evo 2 w/ z is cheaper by a little. so a little bit more help with that much would be appreciated. and btw i was considering a lp preset crossfire but i turne that idea down because i wouldnt be able to do customized settings.

Just run a search on the Halo. It's a hit or miss on the Angels, due to it being force fed a lot of Angels don't like it. There were a lot of sensi and chopping problems and as soon as the use went with an Evo they stopped. You are better off with the Evo unless you want to deal with the possibility of problems. Why take the chance when the Evo works just fine?
I know that some people will argue on this one, but why risk it?

very good point plus its cheaper so i would have to say the evo 2 w/ z-board ty guys. but is the angel air (65/4500) heavy? if so is it something that u would need like a drop foward? ill prob get a drop foward anyway but im just looking at how much i could live with until a little more money could be made that way i dont go broke getting the damn thing. and how accurate is the stock barrel and how far can it shoot?

The AIR is a little heavier than other systems due to the reg. I use a WDP mini drop and it balances the gun real nice.
The stock barrel accuracy depends on how good the paint match is.
Never measured the distance on a shot, but 300 FPS is 300 FPS on any marker, it doesn't shoot further or shorter than any other gun. Yes, the Tippman flatline is the exception, but we won't go there.

well sometimes barrels make a little diff in length because of their length but i just wanted to see if this was like a normal stock barrel that would just go flying sideways and curve and stuff that winds up pinning the ball to the ground before it reaches 30 feet (yea i exaggerated) because than i would HAVE to get a better barrel. its like taking a ferrari and putting the worst wheels and tires on it. and also i headr some rumor or something that the air comes with a drop foward. i wanted to check on that right now im a non beleiver of that but i want to double check. oh and with the AIR the 65/4500 is the way to go right? because i want something worth a good amount of shots but i heard that the 88ci on a tank is a waste.

I highly recomend the AIR personally, I love the reg, except for the weight but im not a tooth pick so when im playing its not a big deal :P. And im sure you can learn to service your AIR yourself just get the tool kit, it cant be that difficult. I have yet to get a tool kit so I cant say anything there.

Look into the MacDev Conquest 03 air and the SM-1 Barrel Kit. Bob at fixmyangel.com will hook you up. I won't try to sell you on these 'cuz they really do sell themselves. The 03 is a great tank and the SM-1 is in MHO the best kit on the market. I have tried other kits and this one really did out perform the others. Just my thougths for what they are worth.

I have one of the new "stubby" 70cu CrossFire LP's. It kicks ass. I don't even need a dropforward for it; I'm using a little $8.00 ASA on my $1,250 gun. It positions it perfectly. The other guy at my field who has a DF and a 70cu stubby is ecstatic about how compact his gun is, front-to-back. Since I use my tank for a shoulder stock, though, I prefer not to have a DF on the stubby.
But, at any rate, see if your field can get you a sample of the stubby to look at. It's really a great tank.

I second the crossfire screwin LP tanks. I use the 92ci stubby (back player) and it's the same length as a "normal"68ci. I disagree about the barrel "set" however, and advocate that you investigate a kit. I swore i'd be shooting impulses for a long time, then i bought my force4 in gunmetal, now i'm checking out the dye DM4. I'm glad I can just get a new back for my powerlyte scepter kit if i change things AGAIN.

With the new Angel preset coming out, it's worth taking a look at...

I've been an advocate of barrel kits for several years now, especially the Scepter since it came out at IAO a few years ago. For someone that can't control what paint they'll be shooting each time and who lives in a region where the weather fluctuates, the set is perfect.
However in an attempt to save money I decided to go with one larger bore DYE UL, especially now that they make them readily available in 0.692 for all threads. All my practice paint is huge (it's cheap, that's how it works) and when it comes time for tournament season I can pick up a .686 back for Inferno/Hellfire.
About $50 less than most 5 bore kits. Plus I use my stock barrel @ .689 so I have every .003 covered!

i was looking at dye dm4 but it has a crazy kick form what im hearing and the regulator is blah read the reviews on pbreview.com and read the guy who works at the proshop. i looked into reviews on the regulator it uses (dye hyper inline or smtn) and they say it sucks plus the dye dm4 doesnt come with an asa so i figured it wasnt worth it. its also more expensive than the a4 AND force 4 by 100-400. and the angel comes with the knowlage that there are certified master techs that know the gun like there abc's and with the force 4 they practlicly cater to your almost all your angel needs. thats why i figured force 4 over dm4.
