I feel the case is simply closed on the Speed / A4 pause issue. Ken Crane of www.performanceangel.com called me today and stated that he simply replaced the leaf spring on the opto board and is flat ripping paint. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

I admitted from the onset that when I was adjusting the trigger (and did not fully understand what was going on with the TOE screw) that I felt I had over adjusted it.

This subsequently damaged the leaf spring and did not allow it to work correctly with the opto board.

In my opinion (and I think in Ken's and Frasiers) that the pause issue is not and has never been a Sensi issue and is one of a maladjusted trigger / damaged leaf spring / damaged opto sensor.

Also, I wanted to take this time to give a ringing endorsement to Ken. Unbelievable turnaround, good communication, and customer service beyond compare (in my experience).

Ken was dedicated to fixing this problem (even though it was my fault) and only charged me shipping.

(Although I had him put on one of his volumizers, reset the LPR and dwell, and tune it for me because I am GREEDY)

So in my experience, if you are having a dwell issue or your Speed is simply not that speedy.... send it to Ken - period.

nice man, im thinking of maybe sending it in to see if i can get my trigger stiffness fixed. so you were only charged for shipping?! did you buy your speed from him? and if you didnt buy it from him do you have to pay for technical things like Talfuchre had?

These are all questions for Ken. Ken knew that Angel seemingly had an issue with 'pause' with the speed. He was simply dedicated to handling an issue that may have been and ssue for all Speed owners. He fixed this problem for 'free' because it was simply good customer service... and he is THE head tech in America.

The rest of the stuff he charged me for (I have to square my bill up with him today). But the fees were a pittance for how my marker runs.

you can try the sponsors...but since you have to open the board to replace it they may not sell it/send it to you as you will void any warranty that you have with them.

The pausing issue ABSOLUTELY can be a broken SENSI as well. It's just that it is more likely to be a misadjusted trigger. I fixed my pausing by replacing my faulty SENSI. IF the SENSI doesn't detect a ball when it drops on the rod then you will get a long pause because another ball can't fall and trigger the SENSI until the gun waits the maximum delay before allowing the clearing shot.

Sure Cveale. If you have a Sensi that is 8 out of 10 on a pass test... It can cause 'pausing'. I noticed wen this weekend that poor trigger tecnique can cas seeming 'pause'. I fyou do't let the trigger all the way up it will not let you fire it again.

If all goes well, within a month we will be have a magnetic drop in system that will allow you countless tension adjustments.
Should solve all pause problems related to leaf spring, and trigger adjustment problems.
Be patient, angel force is on the job.

or you could buy my new invetion the super ripper glove , which has an vibrating mechanism in the finger tip which cause your finger to swing back and fourth at over 30 pull a second!

And the first moron to message me about buying this I'm gonna smack :) I didn't really create it.

Could a broken sensi rod make me have the pause issue?

Could a broken sensi rod make me have the pause issue?

Yes it can. If the rod is broken or damaged it might not be making the proper contact with the pad causing your marker to pause.

Yeah, except it will most likely be the yellow SENSI strip and not the rod that is actually broken. You probably meant this, but I was just making sure.

Ken Crane is Da Man!!

I purchased a Speed at the Chicago Open. I have had nothing but performance problems since I purchased it. I was on the verge of getting rid of it because it never worked as advertised by WDP.

I sent my speed to Ken a month ago. I had terrible pause issues with it in any of the sensi modes. With the sensi off the marker ripped. Ken went completely through the Speed and found out that there was a hairline crack in the sensi pad. He also found out that the aftermarket trigger I was using needed to have the hinge pin in the middle instead of the rear of the trigger. Ken also adjusted the settings and the pressure in the Speed.

Well, I went to team practice the other day and I have to say that the Speed with the sensi on ripped faster than ever before. All the guys at practice were amazed to see the marker shoot as fast as it did. The guys have seen my frustration in the past and the problems I have had with it. My Halo had a hard time keeping up. Talk about pearls!!!

All I can say now is that this marker is a keeper and can compete and outperform any of the markers I have shot.

If you are having problems with your Speed or A4, send it to Ken Crane at www.PerformanceAngel.com you won't be sorry.

one Question. Is it still the pause issue if my sensi on at 3, I can shoot 3 balls but then there is pause. 3 Balls and the pause...over and over.
