i dont see why it would
if it's working then it should be any problem in the long run,
if you put your TOE too far back it could damage your board but that happens instantaneously, it's not a chronic disease

Having your Toe at the beginning of the trigger pull would be more likely to cause damage, as the slack after the activation will continue to push on the leaf. With the Activation point at the rear of the pull, you are only pushing the leaf as little as necessary, no matter how long the rest of the pull is.
If you have a trigger setup where the pull doesn't feel smooth, but like you're crushing something, I'd make sure everything was still good, and readjust the trigger.

But if your TOE is screwed in too far dont you run the risk of stabbing something with it.... you know hitting the board?

The TOE screw hits the leaf spring. It never comes in contact with the board. The leaf spring is what moves in front of the optical switch to indicate a trigger pull.

If you have your toe screwed in all the way, but have the trigger set up to where the toe activates at the end of the pull, you'll be fine. If the toe activates, then has a ton of slack to keep pushing against the leaf, then you will have a problem.
