I have had my speed for some time now and have always had the problem of it chopping about 3-6 balls a hopper, the thing is when fire slowly it chops with the sensi on and with the sensi off. Ive searched the forums and saw many possibilities of what it may be and i have tried some but others i am questionable about in fear of messing up the gun somehow. The ram adjustment seems like a likely solution but even when searching and reading the manual i still cant seem to grasp of how to do it. I have a fixed tank and factory dwell settings and was wondering if it might be dwell also. The last thing that i was wondering about is LPR, i have very little understanding of what it does and how to adjust it and believe me i DID read the forums. If anyone would be kind enough to help me. Thanks in advance

Whats the output on your tank? If its too high you might want to try raising your dwell a little and see if that helps.

Are you useing a halo.? And do you do 10 slow shots before each game.? If you are useing a halo you might want to try a z boarded egg II.....

are you getting barrel breaks, or is the marker chopping?
adjusting the ram is easy, do you have a tool kit?
either way do as the manual says. remove the backplate, and turn the ram clockwise to tighten it (it should click when the breech closes) its easier to adjust when the marker is degassed, but gas it up when your done to make sure its adjusted properly when gassed.
and post your results or questions. thanks

If you don't have a tool kit, two allen wrenches that will fit into the holes on the ram will work. Just make small turns and check to see if it clicks when you open the breach. PS: turn the the ram in to adjust.

Like BadIntentions, I also wonder about your hopper. I have a new z-coded Halo and have tried every solution mentioned on these forums and have not been able to keep it from chopping. My speed works great with an Evo II, but not so well with the Halo.

btw, snap ring pliers can also be used to help with the ram adjustment.

Ram adjustment is very important if you want to try and keep that Halo. Also, look into getting the A4 bolt. It helps in the same way that adjusting the ram forward does by keeping the ball from rolling back into the breech and allowing another to partially drop. If you are rolling past the ball detents then you probably need to replace the detents with a stiffer one that will prevent the Halo from feeding past them. Also, never use a "wet" shelled type paint. If a paintball has any oily type substance or paint from a break or something on it then it will usually cause a chop.

try another hopper if you can, it could ver well be the halo

and why do you need to spend $100+

you could sell the halo and get a egg or do a straight up trade
