Well today i tried to do a sensi test and it was working sometimes. so i getting fustrated but pressure on the sensi rod. i started shooting some rounds and the gun paused and the continued to fire as if there was no paint but the hopper was full. i took the gun apart and test the sensi sensor and it would go off but only when i applied extreme pressure. So i have a feeling the sensor is done but i just want to confirm it!

Take out your sensor pad and take a look at it. The yellow strip should be intact all the way across. If it's not or if there is any kind of discoloration like brown, you will need a new pad. Any of our sponsors will have them in stock.

sensi is suppose to measure the weight of the paintball some how and alot of ppl have had broken sensors from their Halo's so i would say when you put "extreme pressure" on it the sensor prob broke if it wasnt broken before so i wouldnt recomend pushing down on the sensor

Your SENSI is toast. I am on my fourth one now. If you have a Halo, ditch it, or petition WDP to make a more durable SENSI. I was playing today with one that was broken in half (because of Halo), but still detected paint correctly. Well.. my Halo made sure that happy time didn't last long. It completely smashed the remainder of the SENSI to putty and now my rod doesnt even stick up into the breech. MAKE A STRONGER SENSI WDP!

ok update. the sensirod is not broken and the yellow strip is not broken, i turned it back into test mode and tapped the sensi pad and it passed. i put it together and when i dropped the ball in it passed 3 out 5 times. but im think the to failures are because the ball hit the side of the rise and did not have enough weight to trigger the sensi. but it did pass the test.

but my other problem was when i started walking the trigger it would go 10-15 shots and then stop and then continue, but i dont remeber if i calibrated the sensi.

I have seen this twice on mine now. One showed absolutely no signs of phsyical damage. A perfectly working SENSI will detect even the slightest ball impact. Mine started failing on balls and I had to start applying more and more force. You will start getting pauses in your strings of fire and eventually it will fail half of the ball drops. Trust me , it's dead. (or dying). Do you use a Halo?

no i have an egg w/ yboard. but yea that makes sense, i was putting alot of pressure on the rod originally with thinking of how sensitive of an item it is. i probably damaged it thats why it not reading the ball all of the time. can i take my gun to impact paintball and have it covered under warranty?

I would certainly try. I think that is up to the seller whether or not they will cover that. The basic WDP warranty says they do not cover SENSI modules.

cveale: when you say that you're on your fourth sensi do you mean the yellow tab or the rods?

mine came broken. I'm on #2 now but I'm hoping this is the last one I ever use.

If it doesn't register a "pass" when you close the breech hard, then it's probably broken. Yes it should be that sensitive. Yes you should be able to pass 50/50 balls or 100/100 balls. Even if 1 doesn't pass it's broken.
