do i have to get the LPR kit to put on volumizers>?
how do i put on my halo with out problems?
Emmit

you don't need anything to put volumizers on except the volumizers
Halo's are hit and miss...attempt it at your own risk is my suggestion.

i definately suggest that you do a search on the halo, theres more than enough info available to let you know what to expect. and ways to correct anything that may go wrong. for example ~proper ram adjustment is more important with a halo~
as for the tool kit and volumizers, get the tool kit. no you dont need it to put on your volumizer(s) but you will need it to use the settings from Ken Crane in the A4 page. which i set my speed at, and it is incredible. and the tool kit makes servicing your angel alot easier.
no you dont adjust the volumizers, but you can adjust the marker to take advantage of having the volumizers.

oh yeah using a clamping style feedneck, or the wdp twist lock feedneck will mean that you shouldnt have to sand down your $100+ hopper to fit on your marker.

the halo was made with a stronger and thicker feed neck for a purpose. so that you can sand it down to fit your marker perfectly, and havent you noticed that no stock feed neck is big enough for the halo neck nor are there many elbows that fit the halo neck though you shoulnt need a halo if you need an elbo, but it is factory design not a factory flaw, but yes you will have some problems and adjustments to do.

yeah draper id rather have to put a little effort into installing my hopper than have it too loose and fall off in a game, but with a clamping feedneck you dont have to worry about it coming loose or off, and you dont have to worry about effort either lol

okay guys i went paintballing today and i chopped like a mofo then it wouldnt then it would and im on sensi 4 w/ empire loarder so that contributed to it too......well i shot about 1800 balls today.....i cleaned out the breech un-gressed the seni and lubed the bolt.........didnt touch ram or anything else......is that correct........do you only oil the ram every 8000 shots..i read the manual but what is the difference between lubing and grease lubing?
thank you
Emmit

greasing is only done every 20k per the shot counter, and it involved removing the Ram and LPR and greasing them up real good.
Oiling is done approx every 8k on the counter and is done by putting a couple of drops in the minireg and exhaust port.

dont put oil on your bolt

with sensi on it shouldnt be chopping especially like a mofo. is your ram adjusted correctly? how is the paint/barrel match? what kind of paint? detents ok? what are your settings? how old is the marker, was it new when you got it? did you do anything differently between when it was chopping and when it wasnt? are you getting breaks in the barrel or in the breech?
no you dont want to lube the bolt, it should be as dry as can be. i clean my bolt and breech between every game and sometimes during a game (yeah im kinda compulsive about some things LOL)

how do you adust the ram (everything is sock settings except im on sensi 3 and dwell around 14-19) i have a ultalight a little bigger bore size than the paint was....i was using amped and it was chille outside....its a brand new speed this was the first time using it......i didnt do anything to the settings at the feild but i used my friends evo 2 and i went through my hopper very very quick with no breaks at all and sensi was on but it never chopped at all....i was getting breaks in the barrel mostly right when the bolt hit the ball it exploded but was in the backend of the barrel....see sometimes i will fire really fast and the sensi will work fine i didnt switch anything but then in other games it would chopp and i didnt have a barrel squeegi(SP?) but i would shoot threw it and it would work fine...i cleaned it after every game if i had a break....

if ur using a halo, when u put the batters in the cradle, make sure you tape a ring or two of tape around aoo of the batteries, to kind of snug them together, this will get rid of unwanted Halo on/offs due to the batterines not producing power because they aren't touching the metal leads.

the temp. might have affected the paint (im not familiar with amped). adjusting the ram is in the manual (or search here) basically you want it to click when you close the breech (mine is adjusted very tight, almost to the point where the breech wont open. this helps stop double feeding in the breech.
if its breaking in the barrel then it shouldnt be the hopper to blame. try adjusting the ram first see if theres an improvement. if you dont have a tool kit, try and get one!
they make life so much easier

thank you guys for all your help really thank you..
what is the differences between the evo 2 hopper the boards?
x-y-z? is there an x?
which one is faster?
Emmit
01-05-2004, 06:37 PM
There is no X board that was for the Revs
The original board had a push button
The y-board had a flip switch similar to the Revs
The z-board does not have a rof adjustment.
HeavyMetalPaint
01-05-2004, 06:50 PM
and according viewloader the z board is the fastest but some people I've talked to swear they haven't seen any improvement at all over the y board where as some say it feeds a lot faster than their Y board.
and ofcourse the original board is the slowest.

then what is the revy that dynasty used?
if you guys know where can i get that?
is it faster then the evo 2?
HeavyMetalPaint
01-05-2004, 09:39 PM
I don't know if dynasty perhaps had a special board in their revys that made it feed faster but the xboard revy will top out at around 14.
An evo with Y board will do aprox 21, atleast thats what viewloader advertises while the zboard is advertised at 23 I believe.
