Heys, guys. I just purchased my new Force 4 (in gunmetal), and I have an Evo II for it. This is my first HPA/Nitro gun, since I'm upgrading from old skool stuff; what should I get for it? I need a tank, obviously, and some sort of mounting bracket. Suggestions on these or anything I've forgotten?
Please play gently--I'm pretty new to the sport.
Oh, and attached is my current desktop background. :bouncer:

as described in the manual, and in more than a few other threads around here...you'll want either a LP fixed output air system, Russ at Xtreme in Hawaii highly recommends the Crossfire LP output tank and he's one of the site's sponsors, or you want an adjustable air source that will allow you to get in the range of 350-400psi output.
As for a "mounting bracket". When I switched to the Space Framed markers I found that drops were no longer needed since the way the grip frame was positioned the bottle is already forward. However a rail of some sort is useable. CP makes a great rail for an on/off I recently put one on my IR3 when I switched my AIR to my 4.
Anything you're happy with is what you should look into, there's a pic thread on the 4's and the Speeds and IR3's you can take a look at what users have put on these markers and it will give you an idea of what yours might look like with something similar.

i suggest a check-it unimount and a crossfire lp tank. nice light weight for the bottle and mounting bracket. (i happen to be of the anti drop forward persuasion). and i have been reading good things about Sanchez Machine barrels if you don't already have a barrel picked out.
crap emmit you are fast at those responses

I'd get a stiffi barrel those thing have no weight to them, are more durable than aluminum(don't comment on my spelling) But the are expencive and with the porting they have no accuarcy in the rain.

Tank: Crossfire LP (blue) tank, consider the new 92ci, which is the same length as the 68, just fatter.
Checkit Products UniMount. I cannot say enough positive things about this product. The on/off knob is easy to work with, it's lightweight, it places a screw-in tank beautifully on a space frame. If you're using a big drop-forward now, prepare yourself for better/faster/more instinctive aiming.
Barrel: The powerlyte scepter system is nicely suited for low pressure A4 use as it has porting only at the tip, and the machining is perfect.

Also look into the Sanchez Machine SM1 barrel system. Those are looking good to me right now I'm also looking for a barrel and this is probably the one I will get. I dont want a freak like everyone else.

hey, i reccomend a Mac Dev 03 Conquest for your air system, they are one of the best around, they come with a rail, and an on/off....

So is this an argument against an Angel A.I.R. system? I thought those were top-of-the-line.

I love my Angel AIR along with a few other people on here. Everyone who doesn't like them complains about how heavy they are, but it doesn't bother me. I've had a few adjustable tanks over the years, but will never use anything but my AIR. It's been 3 years now and the performance has been flawless.
Just take a look at a few other threads to see what everyone else has to say. There are a few threads on different air systems.

I am looking for an adjustable system too. A few users have tried the Evil Scion air system, its brand new and they seem to like it. I'm looking at that over max flo for weight reasons and price. they have them on actionvillage.

Man, no deals to be had on an Evil Scion (http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=Evil+Scion&btnG=Search+Froogle&scoring=p&cat=1238). Only two places seem to sell it.

I see no arguements against the Angel AIR in here....I do see some suggestions of other tanks and air systems that can work on the 4 tho.

Good call, it's on the wrong side. That's what happens when you flip the picture.

Haha, nice, +10 points to the disturbingly-precise gentlemen in the peanut gallery.
You'll be happy to know that I was more careful in these pics (http://www.angel-owners.com/showthread.php?t=17259#post161916), which are of my actual gun.

Yes Jouster, I'm glad that someone finally posted pics besides Hep and I. With all these guys saying that they have Force 4's I'm surprised that they haven't posted pics. You might want to try out the Slayer trigger, it's real nice. I'm sure that your Force shoots darts like mine does.

Yeah, no kidding. While it was nice to be surprised a bit by how my marker looked, I'm not used to that when buying something that's been out for several months.
So I put out some "real world" Force 4 pics. Glad you liked 'em.

I finally got my trigger dialed in right tonight (I think). I have an odd way of walking, and so it takes a little more travel on the trigger in order to compensate, and last Sunday I hadn't had it quite set up right. I think I also want a Freak for it, though we'll see if I still need one when it's not eighteen degrees Fehrenheit out (couple barrel breaks, no breech breaks).
I also did a little homemade science project on a spare board I had laying around for my Evo II; we'll see how that works out tomorrow.
Right now, though, I'm getting 19 bps dry firing on my new trigger settings; I can't wait to get some air to really try it out properly!

I just ordered my Force 4 yesterday from Ken at performanceangel.com, when it gets in I'll post some pics. As far as drops go, I ordered the system X-10 drop with on/off, I just like the way they look. I have a Pure Energy HP 68/4500 that I used on my Mamba LCD that I'm putting on the 4 until I pick up the AIR. I'm pobably going to pick up the Freak barrel system too, but I'm not totally sure about that yet.
