I turned on my Angel a few minutes ago and it went on just fine. I was playing with the timer to see how it worked. It was fine. I went away for a little bit and when I came back, the gun trrned off. I tried turning it on again, but it just shows the backlight then turns off. What's the prob?

battery is dead. if you plug it in you should be able to scroll throught the menus. Let it charge for a little while and you'll prob get a code one fault = Bad battery.

But the battery is brand new. I got the gun back from the place it was sent to for the new battery about 2 weeks ago. How long does the charge last? I don't have the charger yet because I just bought the gun and it didn't come with the charger.

if the battery is new, it should charge for about 7 hours before you play w/ it. I assume if it's new that you got the metal hydride battery, so you shouldn't have to worry about "short charges." W/out a charger you won't be able to check the fault screen. Do you know anyone that has a charger you can borrow?

Alright, thanks for the help guys. Nobody at my field uses Angels anymore so I can't borrow one. Now the thing that really makes me mad is that my stuff from FixMyAngel.com came. I was happy, because the charger that I ordered was supposed to be in the box. Guess what, they sent me a battery instead of the stinkin' charger!!! Now I can't even try to charge my friggin' gun!!!

give Robert a call...I'm sure that if that's not what you ordered it was likely a mix up and he'll fix it ASAP

OK, I got another question. Where does the tab key go when you're done playing for the day? I think that's probably the reason that my battery needs charging already.

gasman- my gun was doin the same thing. i had to press on the screen or pull the trigger to get the displayto come up. my battery was fine. finally, i took off the grip and wadded up a piece of paper towel, wedged it b/w the grip and the screen and my problems were over.( at least for rite now??)

Before you send back that battery, check and see if it's the newer metal hydride battery. They come w/ a switch instead of the tab key. It just screws in where the tab key goes, then you don't need that anymore. You can just switch it on or off. The metal hydride batteries are much more reliable and they don't build a "memory" like the old ones do. With the old ones, if you don't drain it all the way out and then recharge it fully, it will damage the battery and only charge part way. Shortens the life of the battery. Plus, the newer ones are a little lighter, not enough to really notice, but it's nice to cut weight when you can.
