yes, inside, but teh 4500 is like a 1/4 inch thicker in the bottle shell thickness

first off this is sad, second off yes it would be the same, that is if the tanks have the same demensions such as same length and width, otherwise they are the same size, the only difference is one can hold more air because of higher preassure

yea... the size is determined by the cubic inches, not the psi capacity

actually I believe there is some additional wrapping that goes into making the 4500 psi bottles, hence it would be slightly larger...however the extra size is pretty negligible.

yea its like a 1/4 inch bigger, out the outside... we have 2 bottles at work one was an 88 3k and one a 68/45 that failed hydro and they have them cut to show teh insides and the 68's just about a 1/4 inch bigger

which is why it really makes no difference

yes, i have both 3000's and 4500's and i've noticed that the 4500 is slightly larger, The LOK SOKs i have on my 4500, are very loose, and the bottom one will not stay on if put on the 3000s. However witht eh exception of lok soks, any tank cover will fit snugly around both the 3k's and the 4.5ks
