Hey I just got my A4 last week one of a handful in Australia and am looking at getting a freak kit cause paints vary a lot in size from case to case here. I am wondering what everyone thinks of the freak and what fronts they have cause I know u can get in AA and Freak Front. Friend has a 03 shocker and is very happy woth AA front but i want to know what some Angel users think preferably those with A4's or Speeds.
Oh and dont go saying get another kit cause barrels are hard to come buy, especially in Aus being a prohibited import :wall: Hopefully laws will be changing in next few months but US dollar is on rise again making paintball more expensive again over here in Australia.

the AA tip is quieter, and a sleeker design. The Freak tip aka Tear Drop has a lot of holes that have to be cleaned out and is louder. I use the AA tip on my Freak that I've used on my LCD, IR3, and now the 4.

Get whichever you think looks better (I like the Freak style). If you really look at them, both have the same porting, except the freak are beveled out.

Well if Emmit uses the Freak and AA front I think im sold. He seems like the Angel paintball guru from reading the forums.

lol he and Ken would be the ones to turn to, i have a friend that shoots the freak with AA tip, it is fairly nice, quiet and accurite (i am at odds with SP and nothing of theirs can match Dye...) but i always thought the teardrop tip looked nicer

I don't know that I'd go that far.....
I just know that I feel it's a smoother design, easier to clean, and sounds quieter. You should always make your own judgements on that sort of thing.

Yeah, wouldn't mind getting an ultralight set or stiffi set. The last broomy i got though cost me $230AUS which would be like $150+US. Although ultralight would be a bit cheaper, I can pick up full freak kits here for about $300-$350AUS.

I don't necessarily think the Freak is a bad set. It does what it's supposed to. I've been using mine for 2 years now, and it's still damned good.

If laws change and i can import myself i have worked out a set of 3 ultralite backs and a front will cost me about $210US and its in polished red the same as a4 so will look sweet. Might go that if laws change otherwise the freak looks like the best option.

With my .02 cents, I would say get the AA. I used the stock tear drop and did not like the results. in my opinion, the AA is more consistent.
