A friend of mine told me not to put oil in an angel that you need to keep it dry,is this correct y/n.
I have cockers now and am waiting to pu my first angel next week.
With cockers I oil them every time it gets used.
So whats the deal.:lost:

figure about every 5 to 7 cases drop a couple drops of oil in, air it up...shoot if a few times, then you're good to go for another 5 to 7 cases....just my rule of thumb, some people do it more often some less...

Thats partially true, the stock angel bolt must be kept dry (oil makes it swell up), after you run some oil thru the marker you should remove the bolt & dry it off.

when you dry fire without a bolt, make sure you keep the breach open. Dry firing without a bolt with teh breach closed and warp teh breach says WDP.

well when i drop a few drops of oil in my reg, i take out the bolt so no oil gets onmy bolt to swell it up. and of course i keep the breach open when i'm doing so.

Is it just me or does this go against the warning found on page 6 of the manual? I thought there was something in the manual about not cycling with the breech open or the bolt out, so I looked it up, and sure enough in big Orange letters right before you get into the section about Bolt Removal, and opening the Roto Breech it specifically says not to fire it. Now I'm not saying that the manual is the written law, and it must be followed, but I would tend to think that if something is written, and done in big bold letters of a different color that there is probably a reason for it. ....just my 2 shiny pennies...

nonono u got it backwards. You shouldn't dry fire without the bolt with the breach CLOSED. That was what I was saying the whole time. If you dry fire without the bolt with teh breach closed, it could warp the breach. So in another words, if you dry fire without the bolt, you should keep the breach open.
