Somebody tell me if I need a new board or WHAT!??? HELP

My 2000 LCD.... I just bought it used, it charged up and seemed to be fine visually ( board lit up, said safe, would go to live mode and click like the switch was activating, but I never aired it up)... I took the angel to my local paintball shop and they kept it for 3 days while installing a clamp mid rise... When I got it back, my battery was deader than dead, so I plugged it into the charger for the night... When I plugged the charger in, the screen would all light up with all the LCD symbols (test screen) then it would go out and not come back on... But the indiglo light stays on.... So, I charged it for 20 hours or so and when I unplugged it, Same thing... I pull the tab and all symbols come on then go out never to return but the light is on... I aired it up and can get the gun to fire without seeing a screen... I just hold the top button for 2-3 seconds and it will go to live mode, but the internals don't seem to be functioning correctly ( kinda sluggish).

Battery u say? Well I thought the same thing and put a nick hydride kit with switch in it... Just got it today and same problem... WHAT DO YOU THINK ANGEL TECHS? NEW BOARD?

I appreciate any help you guys/gals can give me.

a new display might be the only problem you have.

THe only way to be 100% in this case that it's the board is to have a tech look at it, and check and see.
