Ok, I am experiencing some probs with my IR3... so if the techs can assist me I would really appreciate it.
Issue: After every 5 - 10 shots, I get a shot that just drops out of the barrel... basically I am not getting any consistency.
I checked my LPR setting and it is at 97psi ... I took out one of the shims and the reading went below 80psi. I know the recommended setting is in the high 80's, but I cannot get there. There are only two shims.
Any recommendations?

wow.. thx jason.. that means my lpr is set perfectly.
k, time to check the snap... I'll have to see what I can use to check the pressure of the reg...
Thanks man

oh now this is definitely interesting...so if my LPR is set @ ~110 psi then that's okay and i should leave it alone, correct?
This is funny; Last week my iR3 was shooting perfectly, but Saturday I couldn't get it to shoot over 260 for anything. I checked the tank reg, minireg, lpr, snapring, etc but I couldn't find anything wrong.
Then someone suggested that i put a couple shims in to up the LPR pressure. We tried it - upping the pressure to about 110 - and the gun's previous consistancy returned.
I was concerned about losing efficiency with the lpr so high, but from what ive heard here i guess i should leave it.

Interesting- when I had in impulse with LPR the idea was to go as high as possible with your LPR and low as possible with your dwell. In theory, this gave you the best efficiency. Was this just an incorrect idea, or is the engineering behind the two markers different?
Interesting info. But Childe still makes no sense why your IR3 was shooting fine the weekend before and now you had to raise the lpr setting to get it to shoot over 260. Maybe still another issue with it??

Well... they recommend 95-100psi, not as high as 110psi. I think that 10psi is too much but it's worth sending an email to a tech to get a more qualified answer.
I actually emailed Ken about this and he suggested I just leave it where it is...
Hey Hal just checked the Beater IR3 and its set at 84 psi and as you know I have no problem with getting the velocity up. Strange findings. Havent checked the Dark IR3 yet, I need to put the reg back on but I will let you know.
Well the Dark is set at 90 psi and doesn't have the plauged
C]-[ilde velocity problems either. :puzzled:

I got a Cobra Mamba Ir3, I'm running it at 85psi..now is that too low? Or is the mamba lower pressure because of the bolt?
Thanks.
If your running at 85 psi and you dont have any noticable drop off or have problems with getting your velocity up, then there is no need to raise it. The Cobra bolt will make the gun run a little more efficent. That is the bolt that I use.

I had the same problem with my ir3 shoot a couple of balls and then they just roll out of the barell. The Angel Guy said that my hammer was out of adj., and my snap ring was to tight. After adj. both of them it shoots just like new.

I ran my LCD at 96psi for almost 4 months to prove the same theory of the Impulse and worn out my exhaust valve.
Does the iR3 have a different exhaust valve then? Or does this mean that all iR3s will be going through valves quite often?

Well.. i found out what the problem was... I was having massive shoot downs... shots well first several shots.. then a ball woud just roll out the front...
I got my nifty angel tools out and readjusted my snap ring...
Played today and my baby worked like a charm again..
