Ok im goin to pick up an a4... I have an lcd right not with an A4 bolt in it.. Impact hooked me up.. adjusted it everythimng for me..
i kno with the longest volumizer on the a4 operating press is about 180 psi which is good for brittle paint.
anyways with my lcd i know its not chopping but i am getting breaks in the barrel.. no evidence of paitn on the bolt etc etc but ball explodes in barrel.. paint match is good.. wtf..
have owners of A4 experienced chops or barrel breaks???

i have. the freak i use i thought was it, but i'm leaning more towards cheap/out of round paint.
same experiences, bolt always clean, but ball exploded once it was in the barrel. i always despair when it occurs, because it never occured with my impulses or old skool shocker. BUT it's only occurred with my paint, never with fresh field paint.

perhaps check your dwell, seeing as you're up north in a fairly cold climate area you might consider upping your dwell as you might be exploding the paint.
Try the settings suggested in the thread Ken Crane wrote, it'll up your dwell to 17, and your LPR will drop to ~55psi. This will make your marker better on brittle paint IMO, additionally everyone who has tried these settings has thoroughly enjoyed the performance to my knowledge.

I've only had one break so far but it was the gun's maiden run at the field straight after I picked it up (so no time to go through the manual as thoroghly as I wanted).. sensi was off at that time as I found out... after it was turned on for the subsequent runs.. have never had a single break after that even firing 3 month old zap primer throught the stock inifinity barrel... So bottomline - if it's on it's peachy.. refreshing not to having the need to break out the squeegie...

did you try different paint? allot of us at our field are having this problem, not only angels,
the paint just sucks, no matter how big bore your barrel is, the size just isnt consistant and you get ovals

P.S. My Angel 4 could not stand Evil paint, it will chop the hell out of it. I put it in my Speed with same settings and it shot wonders, weird.... :puzzled:

my a4 chops like a sob, and i have probs with the sensi taking forever to prepare for the next shot, and i tried kens settings, i am feeling quite bitter about having shelled out alot of money for an inconsistent chopper.... i have perfect match in paint size for the stock a4 barrel , and i also have a freak with the barrell set .690.... What paint is best recomendded to use for the a4....will it be real picky.? thanks

Ill second that statement.
I also had Kens settings... they were cool. I shoot PMI Premiums they seem to work best.
