Is there any point to use a clamping low rise like the A+ with an Egg II since the Egg II neck sits pretty far down into the stock A4 neck already?

I guess it's a matter of personal preference.. I have the stock rise and the Egg sits real nice on it.. there's about like maybe an inch clearance between the bottom of the egg and the A4 once in place.. which to me is quite acceptable... I personally don't see the advantage for the 1/2 inch lower... but as I said all up to your personal preferance and play style....

I guess the question is, since the stock A4 feed neck allows the Egg II to sit pretty far down already, would adding a clamping low rise bring it any lower? Or does the stock feed tube already do that?

The Egg's feedneck goes down the stock A4 twist feedneck a good ways as is. Using a low-rise is going to be personal preference. I myself see no need to "upgrade" to a low rise since the stock feedneck works great for me. My guess is to try it out and if it really makes a difference go for it.

First of all, i wouldn't bother with the A+ feednecks; theyre difficult to tighten and they arent the best quality.

As far as the Evo2 goes, you have a couple options: You can use a clamping lowrise without cutting the evo2 raceway or you can use the stock A4 feedneck and cut down the raceway. Either option works.

What clamping low rise do you recommend? I like the kind that just twists tight and does not require any tools.
