I used to sing in a punk band here in Ottawa, and at every show there would be these staightedge kids acting all self righteous. IT got to the point where none of them ever seemed to be having any fun because they were so concerned with being better than us drunk kids. It got so bad in some cities that kids were getting beaten half to death for smoking cigarettes at Earth Crisis shows. When will people learn to let other people kill themselves if they want to? That's the beauty of living in free countries like we do: we have the right not to be nagged by self righteous ninnies. Now quit smoking, it's bad for you

P.S. Months later, all those straightedge kids realized how much more fun we were having than them, and broke edge. I now see them regularly at our local tavern: THe DOminion
