I just got my new halo b with Z-code software
i put it on my speed today and i realized that when i shot my shtos wud drop off and chop constantly
shooting 130 - 150 fps ,
then i put my evo2 on it and it shoots fine w/o any drop off perfectly
someone told me it was that the halo pushes past the ball detent
can any1 help me

my combo works amazingly!
i use a A+ lowrise, which i also hear is hit or miss ...
no idea how a hopper is causing your gun to have dropoff ... the balls must be being forced into a poor position, like past the detents ...
i recommend the a4 bolt to prevent rollback, and stronger detents to prevent roll forward! (no need to buy new detents yet ... take them out, clean and stretch the springs a bit!

Ayeaya'
Are you using the stock rise? If so. buy a low rise, should fix it.
So many repost, all the time.....

I couldn't agree more ... i think we need to sticky some threads, that are common problem ... it would make things soo much easier! IE:
"Hopper Discussion and Comparison"
"Air Sources..."
"How TO .... adjust/fix"
The "Look here first" thread was a great idea ... except its how many pages long now? Filled with how many non-helpfull replys?
I belive breaking it down would be worlds of help!

I find the paint effects this issue soooo much,
gel paint, bad....
paper paint, great.... even bigball white box stuff
I have noticed the Halo and gel coat paint are problematic? any one else? It appears that the halo puts pressure on the balls and they shift forward or back and your bolt nicks the second ball, thus the bust. It appears the balls flat slightly and this enhances the problem. Shoot better paint? Otherwise, working on solutions? Any one ?

The Halo Puts too much pressure on the sensi which makes the gun rip and chop paint

never had a problem with a HALO neither have my team mates, friends, regulars, etc...

Two of my buddies have timmies, with bad paint they have an even greater issue with the halo, also the egg will cause issues for them too.
Much studying has shown that the "CHEAP" paint compresses under the halo and thus the second ball in line gets a good impact from the bolt as the marker firers, thus the line of balls continues to break, if one gets past the bolt, barrel residue gets it!
I made a softer spring for the Halo that helps, I think the Halo sensing eye and sensitivity their might also help. COPS rod may add a bit, but then the timmies have no excuse....
Did any one try or know of the EMPIRE Halo differences, I notice it has some significant differences!

Ok, this is I get really sick of. "Buy something else" is not a solution to this person's problem. Sometimes it isnt an option for someone after spending 1000 dollars on their setup to just Ebay a 100 dollar loader to buy another one. If you arent going to post something helpful dont post.
Ok, done with the rant.
I have a halo Z code, A+ low rise, A4 bolt and it works perfectly. Make sure your ram stroke is adjusted properly, make sure your detents arent stuck and use a low rise... you'll be happy when it works I know I am. Just be patient. I had the same problems at first.

i'm agreeing with aerotcus here. the halo is not the cause of anybody's chopping problem. it may amplify another tuning/adjustment issue that has not been addressed. there are too many people on this forum that are running this setup with no problems whatsoever. my suggestion is to look at all other variables first ... input pressure, lpr adj, dwell setting, ram adj, ball detents, etc. hth --paul

Couldn't u just take the ball detent off. Alls u have to do is unsrew it. Why dont u try that.

and that has got to be one of the most hilarious thingsi have ever heard reccomended... i never have had a prob. with the halo, but try to get a low rise, that tends to fix most of the problems others have had....

whats the way to adjust the ram to fix the problem? Ive put about 10cases into my speed and its just starting to B a blender, does that mean the ram went out of alignment?

i think the whoel halo-angel thing is all a big myth. Me and i know liek 5 other peopel with speeds that use halos at one of the feilds i play at never have a problem with an of them. And i used the stock and a4 bolt sensi worked fine on both. And they would never get pushed passed the detents. I have yet to seen a person in person who has problems with a halo on an angel

My halo is perfect with my speed/A+ low rise. It is a Z code halo. Everyone who says "get an egg" is ignorant. The halo is definitely the better loader. Halo's and angels were meant to be together.
