sorry if you guys already answered questions like this but i searched and couldn't really find the answers i was lookin for..........i'm running a preset nitro duck into my speed and i can't get my velocity down by adjusting the mini reg........so what can i do to lower my velocity besides dwell?

If you can't lower the speed below field limits, you will need to either put a second reg or you will need to get a low pressure tank. You can also look into an adjustable tank as well.

i don't have time to buy a tank right now cause i gotta play saturday i was thinkin adjust my lpr or something to get the velocity down??

start removing shims from the LPR i have the same prob at my local field (and sponsor..) we have to have ours at 250 fps, just remove a couple of shims and all will be well, i use a preset ACI (900 psi output)

if you're using a volumizer, remove it.

ummm i wouldnt go that far Bjeff...if he is using it he might want to keep the added efficiencey it gives.

how many shims do you recommened i should go with?

I had to pull shims out of my LPR when using an HP tank (before I bought an adjustable). As far as the # of shims is concerned, every speed is different, so you'll just have to experiment and see what works for you. I'd start by removing two and see what that does to your fps. I take it you have the mini reg screwed in all the way?

i would try like 3 or so first, make sure to up your dwell a little when you do though
