COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A Columbus judge says he'll let an inmate stay in jail instead of moving him to prison right away so he can see the Ohio State-Michigan game on TV this Saturday.
Jeff Renne told Franklin County Common Pleas Judge Richard Sheward yesterday that he would plead guilty as long as he could stay in the county jail through the weekend. Inmates at the jail can watch TV, but it's off-limits at the Orient reception center, where they are held before they're moved to one of the state's prisons.
Renne was charged with forgery. He says if the Buckeyes win on Saturday, he'll still be "on cloud nine" despite being in prison.
Judge Sheward says he granted Renne's request because it's Michigan week and he thought he should do his part for the Buckeyes.

any one know where i can get one of those wonderful "F*CK MICHIGAN" shirts... I saw people wearing them at the game last year. I would love to buy a few.... I work with a few Michigan fans...
The bet for the game is if Michigan wins, I have to keep a Michigan sticker on my car...
If Ohio State wins, my buddy has to sing Carmen, Ohio to our Department Head, an OSU alumni.

im sure you can find the shirts online, i know on any given game day on OSU campus there are people walking on the streets with handfuls of them selling them and making a killing off all the drunk kids.

the BCS polls are wrong... USC owned Arizona, and osu hasnt won any of their last 4 games by a touchdown, theyve all been close
thats one die hard fan tho

A win is a win, doesn't matter if it's by 1 or 50 points. Not to many people have been happy with the BCS, but it's been the standard for the past 4 or 5 years. Learn to deal with it, it's not going away.

the Big 10 is easily the toughest division in NCAA-1 Football, the reason they don't get much love in the BCS and what not is because of how heavily an undefeated team is weighted. It's not very often that a team from the Big 10 manages a perfect season.
and and GO PENN STATE! (it's not Penn State blue, but it's as close as we can get)(someone please let Joe have another couple good years before he retires:cry: )

Emmit, with the way the BCS is structured, it's hard to have 2 teams from 1 division ranked in the top 10. If there are 2 teams, it's usually early in the polls, and one of them will eventually fall with a loss either in the regular season or the division title game.
Sorry to know that you are a Penn State fan. I have respect for Joe Pa, but I hope he retires. If his boys can't produce next year he should just walk away. I don't like legends that just hang on to take a beating. In a "what have you done for me lately" sport all of his past accomplishments will be overshadowed by this year and next if it's the same.

thog I agree that the BCS really con't legitimately put t2 teams from the same division towards the top. That's part of the problem. There's a couple of 1 loss or 2 loss teams in some divisions that are way better than some of the other schools that are ranked high. coughTCUcough
As for Joe Pa...yeah I just want him to go out on a winning season, he's really an institution all his own. He's been coaching at PSU for over 50 years now. That's an accomplishment at any level.

Sorry, that would be OSU vs Michigan, and I don't even like either team. Besides, it's the 100th game between the 2, both nationally ranked, and this is for the 1 spot in the Big 10. Would you rather watch a game between a #2(10-1) vs #9(9-2) ranked BCS teams or a #3(9-1) vs unranked team(6-5)? It's a no brainer.

exactly, you win it by a crappy ref, making an even crappier call.......sorry matt, but i was right there at the fiesta bowl, right next to the ref..... he through the flag at least 6 seconds late, it was a crappy call anyway, there were at lesat 10 obstructions to his view of the play........

so your still one of those people that are stuck on the bad reffing call..... bad call or not flag was thrown, and if your a miami fan you cant even say bad call or not because miami got taht bad call right back this season when they should have lost to west virginia but they got that late "interference" call to keep them alive.

11-23-2003, 03:24 PM
Bad call or not, Miami got the ball back with a chance to tie it up, and they didn't. End of story.

UGA and Auburn have played over a 100 games and its a pretty close record, 56-52 I think. UGA and Florida is always a good game as well.
