I have been thinking about dropping to a screw in system to lighten up my gun....(Man is the AIR heavy). Does anyone have a recommendation on which system works well with an angel. Thanks.

My personal picks are Crossfire and Nitroduck. at the IAO Crossfire has proved itself worthy of having extreme flow rate. Faster than a Maxflow ;). Nitroduck i personally have one and is very consistnat.

NitroDuck are awesome bottles, I've owned 3 and used them on 2 different Angels. I've also heard many good things about the Crossfire tanks, and some of the Pure Energy tanks as well (right now I think the PE tanks are still pretty cheap)

I have used most all the screw in tanks and my favourite is the CenterFlag 420. It has a small, light aluminum reg, good flow(runs my Excalibur with no problem), and a long depressor pin. This is the only air system I use now, so long to leaky, heavy adjustables.

I run a 45/45 PMI preset on my IR3 with a Dye drop forward. Ballances right out.
ACI tanks- Have a very high flow rate, very consistant. Ever see one at a crossfire challange? :rrrright: I know they were getting that bottle "filled" the whole day when they were here at skyball. These tanks are also the "luxfer" kind and don't have to be hydro tested for 5 years.
Crosfire- Never used one in person but thier tests are "interesting"
PMI- not as nice as ACI tanks IMO. They are very consistant but have a bit of shootdown after 11-12bps. The "carleton" tanks like the luxfer tanks, don't have to be hydro tested for 5 years.
Check out the new Nitro Duck X-Stream adjustable screw in. Hopefully I will get my hands on one soon to test it out and post my findings.

I had an ACI Bulldog II 68/4500. I have to say I was disgusted with it. I the reg never worked right and pressure would buld until the 1.8k burst disk would blow. I sent it in twice and each time I got it back it failed again immediately. The service sucked as well and ACI really didn't seem concerned they sold me a piece of crap.
I ended up sending the system into AirAmerican for their reg swap deal. I got the new Apoc2k put on the tank. I love it. It is about the same weight as the bulldog screw in but is adjustable and has an on/off. Looks sweet too.

I've always ran PE tanks with great results. Can't beat the bang for the buck. I'd love to try an AIR but the fund$ kill me. I'd probably go PE 45/5000 on my next tank.

I've had good luck with PMI and Crossfire.
I also dislike the weight of my AIR. I would have kept it though if it weren't for the fact that the reg keeps failing (flash fill).
I can deal with heavy. I cannot deal with my gun going down in the middle of a tourney game (happened twice).
For screw ins, PMI.
I cannot ask for a better screw in tank/reg , I have a 68/4500 and a 45/4500 , both PMI.

Muahahhaha, This thread is from 2002 LOL
Anyway, aci bulldogs are the biggest pieces of crap I have ever owned....might have been fine for the BPS in late 2001-2002 but not now :owned:
Everyone do yourself a favor and get a crossfire and say by by to shootdown and poor accuracy.

I agree Cross fires are very good. I have never used a Nitroduck so I can't comment on them. I have found that the LP Crossfire is more consistant and has a faster recharge rate than my A.I.R. does. and it's lighter.
Oh and don't buy the AIR screw in. They are over priced and not very good. (I think WDP should just stick to what they do best, makeing the best markers in the world!!)
