i have no problem rigging the polls, (and i did vote for the first option as you asked) but you obviously cannot ever show your teacher this as evidance since you have asked for us vote the way you wanted, so why don't you just make up the figures yourself?

JT, on the flip side of things here's something to think about, and it's in between both of your options. Last year one of my friends got married, his parents are both Korean and were born there. He was to be married by his 25th birthday and had a bride chosen for him shortly after birth. He had talked to his parents about the situation and told him that he wasn't happy about it. They made a compromise if you can call it that. His parents went back to Korea and found 5 girls for him, in return he went to Korea and got to spend up to 3 days with each woman and make his choice. That's a little twist on things. I know that your poll is valid and will be one sided, but you might get a few different answers in a more culturally diversified forum.

Different countries, different values. Old traditions die hard in some places.

Never thought about it that way but you're right. At least he's still married and happy. When he came back we asked him if he chose the one with the best "features":drools:

Unfortunately it wasn't like that, but wishful thinking. His parents spent almost 2 months over there talking to different families. When he finally went over to spend time and make his choice, he was escorted everywhere with a chaperone. There was no testing of the milk before he purchased the cow

Well, I;m hure he got the complete cuviual inspection. eys thinga thing athta its. It is a cultural thing. Ath this day and age it is highly nun heard of to us, but we don't know everything. As much as we like to convinv=ce ourselves that everything is done our way, we are still only a amall part of the world. And like Thog said, cultures do diffeent thigns.
I wanna know where the option of "why run to one when you can walk and .... them all?" now thats more realistic. BTW I choose not to vote since I do not agree with either.
