i have 2 med size volumizers, i think i need to run it around 200psi the lp spring is good up to 200, the hp above acording to the SP website, which spring do you sugest.?
Low Pressure makes a lot more sense.

Full Answer:
With a good volumizer your speed valve needs 165 - 220 psi infront of it. You seem to have 2 choices: Either use the minireg or dont.
With Minireg: ie, using the minireg to regulate the pressure:
Use the HP spring and run 500 psi into your minireg. That is enough to ensure a quick recharge and no shoot down.
Without Minireg: ie, adjuster screw backed out flush, or using a gasthru (I reccomend the cobra):
Use the LP spring and send 170psi into the gun then adjust velocity from there.

I have an Angel Speed (Dust Blue), PMI 45/5000 hpa, (Chrome) NW 5" Spoon drop forward, NO volumizer, & the stock speed barrel (which I like).
I was having problems getting my velocity down below 300fps last game. I switched out the 'guts' of my PMI (new radiation jewel, whatever that signifies) 45/5000 tank from their preset HP of 850-950psi down to the LP of 450-500psi. It took a mere 5 mins to do.
Do you think I'll be able to consistently get my velocity down below 300fps after making the switch to LP?
Any response is much appreciated.

Majer Flex, Where did you get the low pressure "Guts" Did you order them? I have the same tank and am looking for an inexpensive low pressure alternative.

I called PMI (1.800.579.1633) & they told me to order PMI part # 40610 from my local Paintball Paradise shop, here in San Francisco. It's a low pressure drop-in kit for $25 that's a cinch to safely change. It thereby brought my tank's fixed output pressure from 850-950psi down to a fixed 475-500psi.
& You're quite welcome, aerotcus!

There was a way to just pull a spring out of the newer PE tanks and drop the pressure. It was posted a while back:

NO! The LP kit (5 shims) has 1 additional shim over the original HP (4 shims). Other than that, they are identical. You need more not less shims. Don't give peeps the wrong idea...

I have no idea. I don't know how the older style PMI PE tanks differ.
