alright it turns out the velocity screw in my minireg is cracked through one corner, and its a little ways down. anybody had this happen or know what tool could get it out, allen wrenches dont get enough grip.

yes this happens in most cases when a 1/8 americian allen key is used insted of the 3mm that should be used.the adjustment screw can be easily be replaced and most service centers should have one.

are you saying that the velocity adjuster screw is cracked on one side, so the allen key cant grip it to pull it out?
if so try a small screwdriver (carefully!) apply a little pressure to keep a good grip on the screw, and turn it out.
hint* if it seems that you need too much force to do this, take it to your local PB shop, its better to ask for assistance than to need a new reg!

you might also try a screw extractor. they are reverse threaded and made to take out screws that have stripped heads. you can usually find them at Home Depot or any good auto parts or hardware store.

mine cracked before......the "screw extractor"(EZout) wouldn't work...in fact nothing would grip it....i spent something like 3hrs w/ a punch chipping away at it untill i had broke it into a dozen lil peices before i could get it all out....i would not reccomend this procedure to most ppl....i was able to get mine out w/ no destruction of anything but the screw.
hit it w/ good ol evil WD-40 first and let it set so as to promote it loosining up and turning at all and try the screwdriver and EZout....if you have no luck take it to a shop.
we can do it at our shop as i have been there before :)
