View Full Version : Paintball PS2/XBox Game!!! ???
When is somebody going to put out a PB game for a video game system. I think it should be like those sports games, where you can cycle between players, and you have a view of the whole field. I've got tone of ideas, does anyone work for sony???

lol i think the closest your going to get to that is the star craft scenario games, sry but when people play vids. i think they want blood guts and gore...

actually there is digital paintball. its a mod for half life. havent played it but have seen screen shoots in my splat mag. I wish they would make something like it for ps2, cause my computer sucks and wont handle pc games. i got tones of ideas, i just need to write to people and ask if they will do it.

and then we could have ollie get his as$ handed to him by some noob, and that wouldnt be good to look at
that would be cool to like make your own virtual team tho, and train them up to pros. ive always thought paintball would be best in a third person view, but lyer's idea sounds pretty cool too

I'm going to develop an actual proposal, copyright it, and sell it to ea sports. I'll keep you guys posted. In the meantime, start emailing them asking them to make a paintball game

well, yeah, i wouldnt expect anything. try and talk to a student at digipen, they got some real authority over there. its one of the best if not the best schools for game making.
i've got a wicked idea for bunkering... you remember those slow- mo breakaways in hockey games... man i wish i knew how to make computer stuff work. (i.e. program) not to mention the Tony Hawk-esque design your own field feature

Rugby is HUGE! Every high school (at least in Canada) has a rugby team, Europeans eat that s**t up! I personally don't get it, but whatever. I think whoever's idea it was for a petition might be on to something, if 8million people play paintball, i bet we could gather at least a few thousand signatures, send that in it's bound to get some attention. DOn't worry, when this game explodes i'll make sure you guys get some credit!:evilgrin:
put all of our names in it :)

you should be able to create your own field/jersey/gun(maybe)/player/and team.
and you like start noobie and build a team, get good, get sponsoerd, then like turn pro, and you could also play in real life tourneys and against/with real life players. kinda like the tony hawk game.
also you can upgrade you gun and accesories with money you make.

yea but it would actually have to be realistic , such as actually using the bunkers instead of like DPB bunny hopping across the field shooting everyone in like 2 seconds
I'm picturing a view of the whole field, from above at an angle. movement between bunkers would be more like a baseball game than tony hawk or something. Once behind a bunker, you would be kind of 'locked' behind it until you pushed the button to leave. WHile in your bunker, you would have buttons to change your position (i.e. Standing, crouching etc) and would push L2 or R2 to lean out far, L1/R1 would let you lean in tight. You would be able to cycle through all the players on your team. It would be lame if you could see the whole other team the whole time, so I'm thinking that while you control a player, you could only see the opponents that would be visible to that player, this would keep you shifting through your team all the time - almost like communication on a real team. This would run into difficulties in multiplayer play though: your guy disappears because your friend switched players.

im thinking if they could do it, have choices, choice A: Socom style, you with a team of computer controlled, choce b: you control the whole team cycling back

If you guys want all of the custom players, custom fields, and stuff like that, I would think NeverSoft would be the best for it. The Tony Hawk people. I heard a little while ago that Microsoft was trying to come out with a game, but I havent heard about it since.

There used to be a paintball game on AOL called Splatterball that you would pay something like $1.99 an hour to play. It had updated stats and point leaders, but it sucked imho.

why dont you do a online signing kind of thing where we can put a link on each pb site and then you fill in your information and we can build upa mass amount of people signing this form. Then we can send it to gaming companies or seomthing......

I think in the future there will be some sort of games coming out. cause paintball is going to go big here next year, with it being televised and all.

YOu can't play half life mods on PS2 or Xbox, only the basic game, besides, that's totally different from what we're proposing. Additionally: my poo computer can barely process the graphic in your sig, never mind fancy online computer games! Darn newfangled gaming contraptions.

i think that if you had a PS2 controller you could use the R1 and R2 as the trigger and walk it like a regular trigger. (sort of)

look at the old game on N64 golden eye 007 game u can put it in pb mode so it shoots pbals.

all it did was make the bullet holes colored like splats,
