this might be a dumb question folks but none the less i need to know. can i use some parts outta one of my lcds in my speed. for example the volumizers the cobra bolts. i put a cobra bolt in my new speed and the air inlet hole matches the air inlet hole on the breach perfect....i mean perfect! the stock bolt has a slight overhang from the hole where you would think air could escape. doesnt this seem much more efficient? and whats the difference between the 6 volt and 3 volt solenoid ive seen a lil talk between the two but no real comparisons. thanks guys

Volumizer can be interchanged
Bolts yes and no, since the LCD bolt doesnt have the groove for the COPS rod but you can use a Speed bolt in a LCD.
3 volt solenoid is now used in Speeds due to the lower voltage battery pack.

thanks hep. so yer saying if i cut a slot on the cobra bolt (im a machinist for OTP) to pass the rod its okay? I have a very early speed its been sitting in our shop for months now and i barely opened it. should that raise any concern? Being an early model i mean.

volumizers = no

you have to use a speed or a4 volumizer. the older volumizer threads partially cover the air hole, making for a decrease in performance rather than increase.

you probably have the 6volt, no concern just double charge it and get the 3 volt later. a grove in the bolt should work, if done properly. being a machinist, this should be no problem.

good luck

Why would you want to put a lcd bolt in a speed. The Speed bolt is better. The only bolt that is better than the speed bolt is the a4 bolt and that will fit.

Installing a cobra lcd bolt will increase the velocity for the speed which means you can turn the pressure down that much more. I already milled the slot in the bolt and it came out perfect! After I make a volumizer for it and make some adjustments Ill let you guys know how it works out. The speed and a4 bolts are heavier than a straight cobra bolt which means extra cycling friction the soft front and brass inserts in them are gimmicks. Its the kind of thing a design dept. does to make people go "ooohh that must make it work better". Same with venturi bolts for autocockers, the best bolt is an aka lightning. staright through with a ramped inlet. Not to mention when the speed bolt is at the front of the cycle part of the inlet hole hangs off the breach that=lost air pressure behind the ball which=lost velocity which=higher pressure. arent we trying to go the other way?
