output pressure is dependant upon what marker you're running.

If you're running an LCD or an IR3 you want about 600-650, that's at least a good starting point, you can go lower if you'd like but I suggest no lower than about 500

If you're running a Speed/4 then you should be no higher than 400 with 300-350 being desired range.

What effect does the out pressure have on the paint ball if you have to cut the velocity down to 280 fps?

Emmit,

I thought it should be at 450? With the newer LP Angels that is...

I run my led's at about 450-500 my Lcd's I run at 350-400 and my speed I ran it at about 200. All guns shot perfect and a consistent 275..... Each guns going to be a little different, so you might have to have it higher to get the performance you want.

Typically you want to have 200psi difference between the Air source and inline regulator

Just so I'm understanding this right, on my Fly with a Crossfire low pressure system, which is 450 output, I want 250 coming out of the mini reg?

Sorry for the dumb question!

I heard the output psi should be 400 to 450, but thats just me

I ran my Ir3 at 350 and it work good

so i can run mine at 350 and still chrono at roughly 280 -
300???

if so kwl thanks for the heads up.

Depends on what your mini-reg is doing as well. Set the output you want, and adjust the mini-reg over a chrono. If you're up to it you can also gut your mini and just use the A.I.R. regulator to handle the marker pressure. Having the mini-reg function the way it was meant to means that you're going to have to see a higher Output than you may want since as stated above it's usually good to have a 200 psi or so delta pressure between the first and second regulators.

Ok, i just bought my first angel don t know much about them that is the spects like what preasures i should be running at, or even how to change them don t want to screw the marker up before i get alot of use out of it looking for some help, the league i play in set fps=230 and mbs=20
What is Dwell how do i use it and what regulators can i upgrad to i heard a maxflo system doesn t work on some angels all that well

Thanks

What marker do you have? That will determine your OP

Dwell is the valve opening time, which is measured in units of milliseconds...Longer dwell is more tolerant to cheap paint, while shorter dwell is less tolerant....as for the reg I know nothing bout it cuz I run with the stock one.

I run the 2k2 lcd 45 frame, Adjusting the dwell would that alter the chrone on the the marker?

Thanks

To be honest I know nothing about the LCD's...you should check out the link though....On the top page there's a link to LCD threads...you should also repost there...I think you'll get more nibbles.

ThanksAbsolutely. Without changing the input pressure, higher dwell time = higher velocity; lower dwell time = lower velocity.

As EP pointed out you are making a pressure change to the marker by determining how long the valve stays open. This will of course result in a velocity change and your marker should always be chrono'd after any pressure changes.
