How much lighter is the force compared to a regular a4? Also I have read posts saying that the force is even milled on the triggerframe. I havent seen anything different. Is this true? Also, are the sides the same as the regular a 4? Other than the dramatic breechblock I fail to see the differences between stock and force 4. Enlighten me

the worst part is as a force4 owner i don't really care. i suppose the eventual newly milled backplate will be different, and maybe they'll release some part upgrade in the future, but it's the lifetime warranty that i care about, along with the instant customer care and TLC. I have a tiny little problem, and i've got techs responding on this board instantly (Go Ken Crane!) I was offered several ways of getting things tightened up immediately, and they're cool with whatever i choose. so forget about "is it lighter" or "is it different" and buy a force4 so that you have a team of the best techs waiting in the wings for whatever you need. in the long run, the coolness factor totally outweighs one or two hundred dollars worth of difference, which at these prices is like a 10% difference in cost overall.

the body is a completely different milling pattern on the Force as compared to the stock, just like the Darks and Cobra's were different on the IR3's, LCD's etc.

As UFC said there's a lot more to it than just milling. Russ has hinted at some things here and there, and I see a lot more on the horizon for Force owners. It is a sweet fricken marker, and if I had the opportunity I'd be all over one.

Hopefully the future holds a black dust Force, IMO the colors that they have right now are just way too flashy on the field. The Gray looks pretty sweet but I just can't find the right barrel for it, and blue is just a little too old.

Also Emmit as you said in your post that if you had the opportunity you would be all over one, then why not sell your A4 and buy one?

Actually, the Force is negligibly heavier than the standard 4.
I weighed both and some others on a postal scale that read down to tenths of ounces.
(guns were weighed without barrel, loader or air system)

Angel 4 (marker with regulator only): 2 lbs, 7.2oz
Force 4 (marker with regulator only): 2lbs, 7.6oz
Dark IR3 (marker with regulator, lpr gauge and volumizer): 3lbs, 0.1oz
CNC IR3 (marker with regulator only): 3lbs, 0.0oz

IR3 infinity barrel: 5.4oz
4 barrel: 4.1oz
16" ss bakc freak: 7.2oz

and for anyone interested:
Ripper bodied e-blade 'cocker (gas through grip): 2lbs, 12.2oz

Just to ask the result of rsr14, i was told by people that different annos and finishes has different weight and that not all markers of even the same model and color varies in weight by a little. Was that taken into account?

actually dude, the Force is lighter, it is 2lbs 2oz, and that is a proven fact, had mine weighed at the exact same time next to a sotck a4(both without barrels or loaders, or airsystems). The Stock A$ came in at 2lbs 29oz, which in the long run, makes it noticable.

But again, I bought mine mostly because I know Sean, Eric and Josh from angelparts.com, they are some of my very good friends. That is the main reason I bought one. All the other things are just benefits.

If a few ounces makes such a huge difference, I suggest working out. Start with 12 oz curls and work your way up to the 40's

after you've gotten used to the 40's you can switch to the malt version it's heavier:lol:

hey now, it took a long time and a lot of junk food and video games to get this gut(actually, it was alot of beer thru out high school, hehe). I have lost lots of wieght from this great sports, playing twice a week really helps, went from 330, to 230 in 4months. And yes, any amount of wieght off the gun makes a difference.

I have to agree with both parties. Although a few ounces wont make that much of a difference, I think companied and products need to strive for always better and lighter even if it may not effect your performance that much. If Mastertech's didnt want to make the force a few ounces lighter, no big deal but then again, if players were content with weight of guns when VM68s and mags were around, we would still be shooting that POS. So I have to say that weight does matter in that it is always better to strive for the best. If it isnt for this WDP wouldnt have even put out a marker that can shoot 31 bps. They would have stuck with 20.

the VM is kind of a badexample tho...that thing did weigh a ton, and even big guys couldn't carry one around for more than 10 minutes:lol:

We used to get Schaffer 40oz for $1.04 after the nickel deposit. Not a bad way to spend a few dollars.

Seriously, this weight issue comes up everytime WDP releases a new marker and it's a joke.

7 oz lighter. Wow. I am getting one as soon as my IR3 money comes in. More and more I hear about the force, more and more I want one. I dont want to get a cobra now. I been hearing bad stories about their afterservice. Force, here I come!

WDP says it's 2.29 lbs, which is something like 2 lbs ~5 ounces.
