A little over a year ago i had 2 quads stolen from me, i thought to myself, "ok i have insurance, at least i didnt walk out and catch them and end up shooting them and going to jail, or have them shoot me" well as it turns out INSURANCE NO LONGER COVERS ATV'S!!! so i am out almost $14,000!since the day i had mine stolen there have been over 40 quads stollen from the area i live, but the theft ring extends from southern PA down into Maryland and West Virginia so im sure that number is much higher. The police know who is stealing them but cant do anything about it until they catch them actually doing it.... i am posting this mostly because i need to vent, this has me really heated, and to make sure those of you who have ATV's and dirt bikes, contact your insurance companies and make sure you have coverage. again im sorry for wasting space but this really pisses me off and i needed somewhere to vent

I wish ATV manufacturers would step up and make it a little more difficult for theives to steal. A screwdriver in the key hole isn't too technical...
BTW what insurance did you have that you think covered it? Homeowner, or atv insurance (didn't know it existed)?

how cant the cops do anything about it, if they know who's doing it all they need is a search warrant to find your atv

the problem is that when they steal them, they load them into tractor trailors and have them shipped out of state before you even know they are gone, they rarely ever keep them....the only way they can arrest them is if they catch them in the act of taking them or transporting them

Yea, I mean, I would be pretty pissed off if they took my $1000 paintball gun in lieu of my $14,000 atvs...

but your paintball gun is like a brother...an atv is only a atv...
cops rarely care about little stolen things like ATVs

if you have 14 brothers they loose their individual love.
