I have a question. I need to input 500 psi from my minireg to get 285 fps out of my angel. I don't have a tool kit to check the LPR. But what else can it be? The stock brass hammer is kind of beat up and has a groove in it know from the bolt pin. and if I rotate it away from the groove, it just goes back into the groove.

I have a tourny this weekend and do not have time to get it check out. I can have it check out at the tourny but I need it for the first day.

Any help would be great

So you're not getting enough velocity on your paint? Is that it?

What kind of Angel is it? Condition? etc. just wondering

On the minireg, there is a set that I need to use like a 3mm allen wrench, screwing it in I believe decreases the pressure and screwing that set out increases the pressure (more input, more velocity in essence).. however a number of things can restrict that goal - try that first

Of course your stock brass hammer is going to get beat up, they all do.. wear and tear - how good it is "set" from the factory is another question. What groove are you talking about? there is like a .167'' wide(space) turned down a little in the front of the hammer so that the pin can seat in the hammer when the breech closes, is that the groove?

Honeslty, I think my Minireg when I checked if I can remember is only at close to 400 PSI, +/- some PSI but I have a 2k1 LCD (v2)

Respond back and tell us what you need help with if this doesnt help

It is a 2001 LCD C&C, I thought the pressure from the mini reg should be 350 + or -, not the 500 I need to get the velocity. The groove I am talking about is a slot that is making the groove already in the hammer wider. The angel is in great condition with 100,000 cycles on it.

I checked the LPR and it is 6 bars and i adjusted the ram and it still takes 450 psi out of the minireg to send a ball 290 fps

if you've got a groove worn into the hammer then it's time to replace the hammer. This however should not be affecting your velocity. Tank input to the mini reg should be anywhere from 500 up. I've been running a preset on my LCD and LED for years and those come at like 800-850. You simply have to adjust your velocity screw on the mini reg to achieve your desired velocity. Don't worry so much about exactly what the pressure is unless you are really having problems. Then you'll have to start looking at things like the Ram, or the LPR.

It is the ouput pressue of the mini reg that I require 450 psi to get 290 fps. I thought the output pressure from the mini reg should be around 350. Otherwise the Angel works great. Everything is adjusted just need to much pressure on the ball to get the velocity. If this is normal I can live with this. But if this is not normal I would like to fix it.

Thanks

Unless someone can think of a reason for why he needs a little extra pressure to send a ball 290 FPS, live with it for now

Maybe somewhere pressure is creeping or something, perhaps something needs cleaned and regreased/oiled? Such as the Minireg?

Otherwise, you'll just have to live with it for right now.. what type of tank do you have? Preset?

the mini-reg might need to be cleaned or possibly even rebuilt...it happens..

i was having the same problem that you were having, except when i fired the input pressure on my regulator guage would drop like 100 psi, then go back up, sorta like a psi spike or something. I just changed my snap o ring and it worked. I dont know exactly what a snap o ring does but i figured what the hell so i changed it and now it works great. I dont know if it makes any diffrence or not, but my gun is a Bonebrake IR3 so it runs at a much lower input pressure, about 300, or a little less.
