what all the possible causes are?

Just got the marker back from Warped where it was tuned up and have a new Nitro Duck X-Stream 86/4500 which I had set to 600 output and also tried it at 800.

My operating theory is my screw-in adapter may not be opening the tank all the way since the marker was just tuned and the bottle is a quality brand and is brand new.

What might be some other possible causes? Thinking back, I'm pretty sure the gun was shooting down with my old tank too.

when you sent it to Warped did they tell you what they did to it? If you're getting shootdown it could be 1 of 3 problems in my past experiences. It's either the LPR is bad, and not recharging fast enough (ie it's creeping). The LPR needs to be shimmed because your pressure is too low. Or your hammer is loose causing it to strike differently each time and giving you erratic velocities. Believe it or not I sent my LCD in to WS for a tune up and the shootdown problem, and I had all 3 of these issues. Depending on where you live someone close might have a tool kit and you can at least check your LPR pressure. Which Warped did you send it to? Give them a call and ask them exactly what they did to your marker while they had it.

They said they shimmed the LPR and it was the LA Warped Sports.

I have a gauge, what should I look for?

On an lcd ur lpr should be 85-90psi. Remember when you are checking ur lpr u should have 500 psi going into te gun. This can be done by using an adjustable tank and setting it to 500 psi to go directly into the gun and then take the mini reg and undo the screw that adjust velocity and unscrew it till it is about flush with the mini reg. this will let 500 psi go into your gun. Then proceed with checking your lpr. A lot of people forget that when checkig lpr u should have 500 psi going ino your gun. Hope this helps
