psp 10man

i just noticed that only fields 4-8 are used for teh 10 man prelims.. does that sounds strange to anyone? the evil,sp, and dye fields arent posted for any teams to play on in the prelims... does this sound odd to anyone besides me? can anyone think of any reason why?

those were also some fairly small fields if I remember correctly (I can't look at the pig at work), but in addition there isn't nearly the 10man teams in attendance as in years past, and certainly not the same number as the 5man event. Perhaps due to this they are able to put the games on these other fields and provide more refs? :dunno:
or it might just be that they don't have enough ref staff as they have to staff the X-ball fields as well

NXL has there own set of Refs. They Ref NXL only, that I'm pretty sure. You never know, the fields could end up as finals fields.

fields 1-4 are fairly small.....although field 4 has alot of obstruction ie tall stuff everywhere.....field 4 is also closer to the vendors and players tent and air station.

the # of teams and placement vs size of fields makes it seem quite logical to me.

there is also more/better bleachers and spectator viewing on fields 5-8 and they are slightly longer.

while we were playing the 1-4 fields we were all talking about how tight they would be for 10man.

on another note the refs on field 4/jt freakin sucked.....everywhere else they were fine, just what you'd expect but on jt they were a bunch of brittish benny hill numbskulls w/ both bad additudes and bad eyes. they straight stole a game from us between the ultra bad one for one call and then calling out my back center guy for the orange zip tie on his tank.....the ref told us outright "sorry guys i kinda f'd that one up i though his air band was the hit, sorry guys, really i am but i can't do anything about it now"
