Jim Drew has anounced that WAS will be releasing theyre own Spyder Clone as well as supplying Kingman with WAS boards.
Soon, Spyders will come with WAS Boards and Eyes with a max ROF at around 24-26 bps. The markers are expected to retail for about $250-$300.

Hmmm, I might be picking up a Spyder as a back up soon. :puzzled:

Yeah, but their internals cant cycle that fast...it will just make a mess from clipped balls, anyway another name for a spyder clone is an intimidator...whats the big deal?

i laugh at spyders, but blackdraguns are extremely underrated as they are a spyder clone, but if you oil the draguns internals regularly and put a new reg on it, it can shoot 20bps no problem

M3 (makers of the black dragun) has just released a new gun that has an anti-chop eye on it and a blade trigger.

i used to have a black dragun...DAMN was it FUKIN fast... i could outshoot a evo2y with a stock dragun... very nice guns.

Spyders can cycle plenty fast. Ever run out of air with one? Those are almost complete cycles, just a hair off catching the sear again to complete the recock.

Spyders are mechanically limited in the 40bps range.

Read that thread, my teammates (nerobro and terminall err) have been working on a board and ACE system for a while now. Cheaper than WAS, and just as good. I shot their spyder today, and it's faster than my speed :) Just because you can rake the trigger like a 'mofo.' I'm tempted between the dragun w/ace or a spyder with ace.

what dragun? an LED can't outshoot a evo2. LED draguns are capped at 13 (like LED angels) and LCD draguns are capped at 20 (like LCD angels)

and what do ya know, it looks like a skimmed down timmy (no joke). our store got one in, and that's exactly how it looks.

he's saying its basically a timmy knock-off

that's the dragun i'm tlaking about, it looks like a sweet back-up. You can't beat $235 for a fast marker with an anti-chop eye.

did u see that vid of a marker less then $350 my AIR system cost more then that I'm pissed. The fregin thing was shootin "12 square" at about 40-50 feet away and rippin. I give up I playing with a sling shoot next weekend no better yet I will just take hand fulls of paint and toss them at every one. Well I will still have the best looking marker on the field.

nothing is out yet for a spyder. The only boards WAS has officially released, are for timmy's and viking/excal's. Impulses are still waiting. WAS is the hype king, and it will probably be another YEAR before anything is released.

i think what were seeing here is the extintion of the ''$hitty spyders'' and companys are finally getting there $hit together and putting out -some what tourney capable and affordable markers.

I guess its because i gew up on the black dragun, but i told my friend about the TES (he's a LCD owner) and he started laughing at me and telling me it had to be a POS and it would fall apart in my hands. I'm not advocating spyders because i have never owned one, but i can say that M3 makes very quality products. All he could say is "Dude it costs $235 its a piece of crap" its that kind of attidude that i find extremely ingorant. Black Draguns may be spyder clones, but i think they are on a completely different level of quality and cerntainly on another level of preformance

I'm not sure on the quality issues. You get what you pay for. My black dragun was the follow up gun to my spyder. I found the spyder to be built better, and made with hardier material than the dragun. M3's service was great though. I drove to their store, and they just gave me a brand new dragun. I worked, and still does.
But this is a different M3 we are talking about now. A taiwan based company bought them up, that's where these new products are coming from.
Spyders may be considered cheap because of their simpicity, but what gun is easier to fix if it breaks?
