man we have had to many of these "my bad expierence" threads and i hate to put another on here but i dont know what to do i dont want to try and sell this gun and try to get sumthing new but this choping issue i'm having is unbarable. i have an angel speed 68/3000 crossfire preset (hp), Sidewinder Reg, WS Shank, Check-it Lowrise, cp kit, and a halo b, and i get nothing but chops, my dwell is at the last green LED, i'm not sure on preasure but it was fine before i put the shank on (the preasure that is) and all i get is big blending action.
i hate to try and sell this and get something like a timmy i can tell it will be just to much hasle and i might end up spending to much money.
i took it into a tech to see what was up and he said it was my egg because i had sanded it down and cut it so much that the stack was off, so i got a halo and it didnt help at all now i just have a huge mess in my halo and i have to take it all apart to clean it (VERY BAD FIRST IMPRESION OF HALO) i just dont know what to do
any input would be great.

is ur sensi working correctly? i've heard bad things about halos...
Halos always chop. Don't sell your speed because your halo chops. Go buy yourself an evo with Y board and then see if u chop. I promise you won't.

if youre anti speed+ halo, youre dumb.
thats not even the problem, it appears to be the dwell-up that dwell a few points

Please stop posting useless, uneducated comments.
This problem can be solved in a few ways. Most likely you're getting the "angel problem"
1.) grease halo belt
2.) Get an A4 bolt
3.)check your detents
4.) Lower lpr to 72psi range
I'm having the same "chopping" problem, and will be trying an A4 bolt this weekend. Hopefully the nylon face will prevent the paintball from rolling into the face of the bolt, hence eliminating the "angel problem"

Ok NO Halo's do NOT always chop most of the chopping problems Iv'e seen here have to do with setup. Mine works just fine. Now let me try. Here are some things:
-Remove your barrel, put on the Halo, add paint, and turn the Halo on. Now look down into the breach, can you see the bottom of the second ball starting to enter the breach? If so there's you problem the Halo is putting to much pressure on the stack and the bottom ball is either rolling forward past the detents or back against the baol face.
-What software is in your Halo? (If not the ST-Z do what xen said and grease the belt)
-Lower you LPR, personally I use 77 (little bit higher than xen's but close).
-Again like xen said check your detents, make sure they're in correctly and the springs are good.
-Check your Ram stroke and be SURE it snaps when you close the breach. Remember you set the ram with the gun gassed up.
-Check the Sensi and be sure it's working, try Mode 1 or 2.
Try these and let us know how you make out.

if your speed was chopping mad w/egg then you switched to the halo and it chopped, my logic says that the problem is not the loader. egg or halo.
is the volumizer a speed specific. if not it may be starving your ram. also take the barrell off, put loader w/balls on your gun, look with a flahlight down into the breach and see if the 2nd ball is coming into the breech (if so your ram needs to be adjusted or new ball detents. )
are you using good paint? power loaders can break crappy paint.
does your sensi pass the drop test? use sensi 1 or 3 for anti chop.
good luck & dont give up. the speed is awsome when working good

Hey guys, just thought i'd throw in a comment.
I lent out my speed to some kid and he pushed a squeege down the barrel.. so yea my sensi is bust and I haven't gotten a new one yet. I have a egg, but the board fried so I ended up buying a halo b with z code at a tourny.
I threw this thing on, without sensi and i've yet to break a ball and i'm putting out consistant strings of 18 balls.
My lpr is set at ~83 with 350psi input, my ram is set properly and greased.
Most importantly I clean my ball detents! Without these wrking properly, your done for.

HELP what do you mean egg is off ball stack cause i cut my egg and im gettin some chopping issues to can you explain this a little bit more?

the egg is a semi-force feed loader. if you have the stack a bit too long or too short while firing a fast string of shots it WILL chop because the ball stack is uneven and the feeding will be inconsistent.
BTW: I own 3 halos, ive owned 4 total. planning on getting another one. I hate eggs. I have lent out a halo to a couple of egg users a while back and now they all "NEED HALOS!!!!"
I have NEVER had problems with ANY of my halos. From one of the frist halo B's to a brand new Z-code ive never had probs.

omfg,
HALO's DO CAUSE HORRIBBLE CHOPPING!!! EVLUTIONS DO NOT
Even if you're halo is working fine, the motor can break down and cause horrable chopping. If it hasn't happened to you, then good for you, but yes, halo's do cause chopping. They aren't the only reason that chopping occors, but If you marker is in great working condition (lpr isn't spiking due to volumizers) and you are chopping with a halo, you may want to put a egg on and see if you still chop

I dont want insult your intel but look at ball detents some times they get put in wrong.Halo are fine mine works good.I will put money its your ball detents or ram adjustment.Ck SENSI with drop test if it is ok, it's the ram or detents. If u still dont like your speed I will trade u look at this.(Vsion never had 1 chop)

Man, don't be scaring people like that. If your halo is chopping your marker isn't setup properly.
You ram has to be setup properly and your ball detents need to be clean.
LPR psi doesn't make THAT much of a diff, i've had mine high and low and it made no difference.
Having a low rise also helps.
Like I said above, I am running a halob with the latest software Z, WITHOUT sensi, and I break zero balls. And I shoot both egg and halo. why? Because halo's are to hard on paint and brittle paint can and will break in the hopper or inthe stack, so having an egg around is always a good thing, BUT you will need sensi with your egg.
They both have their places. But if you think your chopping because of your hopper, your gat is just not setup right.
I've fixed many a lcd angel and speed and it came down to ball detents that caused their chopping, in some cases ball detents and adjusting the ram.
If your speed works that badly let me know. I will gladly take it off your hands for a cheap price.
My halo was working PERFECTLY up until a weekago when I got a stiffer spring put in. It turns out the motor was crap. I had TE software at the time, and I was getting the "halo+angel" problem where paint was rolling into the face of the bolt.
FIX: Clean Detents, re-adjust ram, Got z-code and a new motor. You can also try an A4 bolt, I highly recommend getting an A4 bolt if you are "chopping", because you had the same problem as me. The reason I feel this will work is because it has a rubber/plastic piece on the front which acts like a foamie, and keeps the ballstack aligned with sensi, which doesn't allow them to roll back. Give it a try.
