Upgrade battery (is it that important?)

does the new battery really help then gun, or doesit just have like more charge time

The new Nickel Metal Hydride battery systems are nice because they replace the tab key with a recessed on/off switch that is far more reliable. If you aren't having board problems or problems with your LCD holding a charge then an upgrade isn't a necessity.

like PBEric said, its not really manditory to have one. Its more of an convinience thing. With the nickle calcium batteries, you have to drain completely before charging again or else it will start to crystalize, thats what most people reffer as the "memory effect".

does the new lcds have that battery? because i just bought a new lcd 02 and my battery keeps on getting drained when the gun is off. thanks

yes, 2001 and up LCDs have a nickle metal hydride battery which is the best one. excessenemy, does yours just keep going down while its off? If so, perhaps your battery is bad...
