usally not a good thing, might or stripped the threads out of it.
It comes like that.
Mine would screw in but I could easilty unscrew it... Use your hand and try and screw it in a little tighter.
Mine out of nowhere is stuck now though.
I don't think WDP would give you a broken rise.
Some more people will post here soon so see what they have to say... I doubt its anything bad.

to make things even better... the rise top is stuck on the feedneck....
Hmmm...
Ok which part are we talking about here...
Theres the part of the rise that screws off and you can get access to the gated feed.
Then there is the whole feed kneck that connects into the breech...
The part on the rise that screws off is normal...
But is ur whole feed kneck coming off?
P.S. If you got your Egg in, you should be able to get it out...
My halo go stuck and I screwed the part of the rise that screws in to the kneck even when the screw in part reached as far as it could go I kept twisting and my HALO came out. I dunno if you want to do that but it worked fine for me.

the part of the rise that screws off is stuck on the feedneck... uh i'll try to twist more... this blows
Thats not a bad problem... Bad luck I guess.
I got same problem... Make sure that when your trying to pull the egg out, twist it at the same time.
I gota do some quick work but I'll be back... Hope everyhthing works out.

the rise part that screws off... i can set it in all the way without screwing and take it out without screwing... i don't thin kthats supposed to happen right? do you suggest getting a whole different feedneck, or taking this to a pro shop and replacing it/ fixing it?

Ok the part that screws into the gun SHOULD NOT come out. The part just above where the feed neck flares is supposed to unscrew to remove/change the gated feed. If the part that screws into the gun comes loose just use some red locktite and screw it back in, let it dry and you're good to go.

So does it have any threads at all? Do you mean theres absolutly no connection? Because locktite wont keep it on if you cant even screw it on.

What I've found works real good is a mix of teflon pipe sealant and red locktite. But you'll never get it off if you do that. If the top part just drops in that's not a good thing though.
Sorry i'm confused by this...
Is there any actual screwing action to get the top of the rise on to the feed?

should i replace the rise?

no theres no screwing action to get the top of the rise on the feed, i think i stripped the threads when i was trying to put my hopper in
Yea if it just drops on...
I would take it to a shop see what they have to say...
Sounds like you'll have to get a new rise.
Maybe give WDP a call, maybe they'll send you one.

should i get a low or high rise for my egg2?
As far as I know...
HALO is the only hopper that has problems with a high rise/stock rise.
It's just a choice on your preference.
If you like your gun to be a little smaller, a low rise is nice...
If you want more shots in the neck, then go for the high.

I tried using my egg with my A+ and had a few problems. I'd get ahold of the sponsors and see what they can do for you. They sell Gated Feeds.

mine has done some ting simmilar.
was playing on sunday, and the upper half kept coming unscrewed. kept fixing it didnt think much of it. it finnally stopped doin it so it was all good right?
wrong! went to clean and came to realize that it is cross threaded now and theres about a quarter of an inch gap in the in side that will be very hard to clean if i chop paint.
on the bright side i guess ill never have to worry about it coming loose again. but it looks funky.
im gunna figure out how much itl cost to fix and get back to u later unless someone already answeres it

it's prolly cheaper just to get another rise... mine just broke this weekend when I was twisting my hopper on it. The upper part jsut went like snap forward while I was twisting it on. I'm ordering the a4's rise cuz it like eliminates having to twist u're hopper on thus no more broken gated feeds for me! Woot
