If I were to cut the connection off my old (DEAD) LED battery and splice it onto a newer style LCD battery would it work?
Thanks

The previous reply is true and not true. All that he said about regulating my be true, but there is another option. The LCD Nimh battery is close to batteries used in high end RC cars. So a really good peak charger(one that charges Nimh's) will charge the battery just fine. That's actually what I use. I bought a LCD without a charger, and since I had a nice peak charger anyway, I just spliced a micro plug into the wiring harness(on the off side of the switch), and use it any time I have to charge it. I originally only did this to see if the battery was any good, but it worked well, so I still use it. The same thing could be done on a LED. I'll end up with a factory charger one of these days, but until then this works just fine. The only down side it having to remove the rear plate to access the plug when I have to charge it. Like I said, mine works fine, but don't blame me if you try this and screw things up...... :)
