pic code help

Ok here's my problem. i just bought a 2002 angel lcd off of ebay.
Ok i get i charge it turn it on and it asks for the pin code. so i email the person who i bought the gun from. they told me the pin was craved in the gun under the breech block so i look there and there is a number a five digit one (13499) but the pin is four digits big. that five digit number is also located when you take the frame off its craved into the gun. so whats the deal with that five digit number am i just entering the number in a wrong menu or something. also the guy doesnt understand why it is ask for the pin because his brother (who he sold the gun for) never used the pin for anything. Any help would be apperciated. Also i have never owned an angel before.

the 5 digit code is the guns serial number the pin code is set by a user to keep other people from using it, i believe any certified tech can unlock it for you, but there are steps first, like proving u actually own the gun and it hasnt been stolen... maybe one of them can add

if you can find a datatlink kit (or if you can borrow one from a friend) you can reset the pin yourself, or if you can't get one, you will need to get a board swap from a tech.

Try using 0000, if that doesn't work then use the 1st 4 #'s on the breach 1349 or the last 4. If you still can't unlock it take it to a tech. They should be able to do something for you.
