View Full Version : New IR# have some problems

Brand new IR3 C&C. Will shoot two balls per shot once in awhile , the ball detent is in place looks good. Also we are breaking alot of paint in the barrel. We used three different brands of freah paint and we are getting many barrel breaks. The paint is small to medium and goes through the barrel using the blow method. If anything the paint is small for the stock barrel. Can someone help me out here. It is very frustrating having a $1300 gun and I am only able to spray paint trees.

what kind of paint? if the paint is small enough it will bounce around in the barrel and break, what kind of board?

Diablo Recsport, Worr Paint and 32 degree compition. What do you mean what board? I am lost.

boards mem2, mem3,mem4, mem5, mem6. which of these?

The Board is inside the Markers Grip when you turn it on it says MEM 4 or 5, also they might want to know the board it OPTO (two buttons) or MICRO (switch)

when you turn your marker on it'll say "MEM X" x being the kind of board you have. the mem 2, mem 3's, and some mem 4's have microswitches, if you trigger is set too short it might double shoot sometimes...

i have a mem2 (micro switch) and i accasonaly(spelling?) find my gun shoots two at a time, and one day it just stoped. i dont really know what i did, but i think it was that my trigger was to short or something

how long is your trigger travel?

Trigger travel is the way it came stock. Upon further inspection I fould that the ball detent(Antidouble feed) was loose, I removed it by hand. It is still spring loaded and I reinstalled it and snugged it down with a 3mm hex head wrench. With the breech open I fed some ball in. 3out of 4 stayed put and the 4th rolled right out. Its like the detent is not making enought contact on the ball. I will borrow my friend freak tommorrow and size the paint right, hopefully this will eliminate my barrel. I have shot many types of paintball guns and I can always shoot small paint through a larger barrel without causing barrel breaks. Why is the Angel so different?

I would say try a new detent.

You arent using a HALO or HALO B are you?

No I am using a 12volt Revy, but the rate of feed is not the problem . Single shots are breaking in ther barrel. They are not chopsby the bolt.

I didnt ask that because rate of feed, I asked that because a common problem with HALOs is double feeding.

I wil bet it is a bur or sumething in near where the barrel plugs into the marker.

sounds like the ball detent is weak or sticking.remove the detent and see if the ball rolls freely or is sticky.
