hi i am about to go to work so i diddnt have alot of time to search , so i dont know if there was allready a post about this.. if there is can someone just give me a link to that thread, if not..... other than the 4 being smaller lighter and having a different way to shorten the trigger pull... are there any other differences???? John

Yeah there are a couple of differences:
-soft nosed bolt (looks sort of like an AGD Foamie)
-LCD screen
-3 volumizers
-adjustable feed port
-operating preasure gauge on foregrip
-different trigger
-and the milling looks sick
I think thats about it.
I am currently trying to get my dad to let me buy one!
:madd:
watch the video at WDP.tv in the new news section. Its pretty cool.

anyone else??? come on guys...
is it worth the extra 320 for the 4 instead of a dark speed... or like 460 more than a regular speed, im about to buy my angel but i dont know what to get, i want either the speed demon or the 4, but how much more would u spend for the 4, it doesnt seem like they really put in anything that effects the performance of the 4 compared to the speed, just made it smaller and lighter???so tell me what u think

you shot the speed, i shot the speed we're both hooked. IMO i like the fact you can turn the speed on and rock without waiting to go to LIVE. My dad has an LCD but God help him get through that damn menu without me having to double up in a bunker with him to get him going...lol j/k The speed is plenty light and fast and you won't have to clean out the paint from the vernier wheels if my dad bunkered you.

They are small wheels on the outside of the gun that allow you to adjust the trigger with out removing the grip frame.

I have the speed, i love it , but i shoot the a4 i believe it was even faster. So i ordered one, i called cobra yesterday, the think in 2-4 weeks for the 45 grip frame for the a4.

the differences between the 2 models are going to be very similar to the differences between the LED and the LCD. The board has a few things built into it to allow users more functionality. You're getting your adjustable timers back, you're getting the IR functions back, you're getting a digital display of your ROF, and your Dwell (no more asking how many lights need to be lit up etc). You will most likely be losing the "Flip and Go" feature. That was great on the LED's, but even on the Speed it still seemed that there was a boot time. If you can't remember to hold a button for 2 seconds before the ref gives you the 10 second warning, then perhaps this marker isn't for you. When purchasing the 4 you will get a full set of matching volumizers, didn't get that with the Speed. You're also getting the clamping Gated Feed...how many users have switched over to a regular clamping feed tube instead of the standard one WDP has been putting on their markers? Quite a few. You're getting a new modified bolt. Supposed to be easier on paint. Sounds great! There's a lot of bells and whistles and some of them make this marker that much better for the user, some make it more complicated and the user no longer wants them. The external adjustment wheels are just the last tip of the iceberg. How many times have you adjusted the trigger on an Angel only to put the grip frame back on, and it's not what you thought it would be? With the wheels you can simply dial it in, and then lock it down without ever having to remove the grip frame.

Good luck in whatever choice you make. I know what mine it:wink:

thanks alot i think i am going to get a speed demon just because they are only 1029 now and the milling is sick, im fine with the features of the speed and i dont rele think a half an inch in size is going to make a difference for me but keep the posts coming! John

What about the solenoid\battery problem on the speed? Is that fixed on the 4?

there never was a solenoid/battery problem with speeds, it was all user error ;)

There is a definate wait time on the speed when you switch it on.

I agree, I don;t think it is a big deal on either gun. I just think it is funny anytime someone says it is turn and go like the LED because as emmit said it is not the same.

That is a nice smiley though.

FSDO was user error but there is still a problem with batterylife. There is something wrong if the battery can't sustain the solenoid even for a full day balling.

Actually from what I understand the original run of Speeds used something like a 5v Seloniod. This is supposed to have been changed on the newer Speeds.

So what's the deal with the battery? Is it a problem with the 4's? Just curious since I'm picking mine up this weekend.
