I was out at the field today, and had been shooting my gun all day long with no problems. I have had it for a couple few months now and i chop once in a while no big deal. Well after I would really rip on it a while, once I let up on it it would chop a ball and the bolt would get stuck on the ball. I have no idea what is going on with it. It would be a different story if it happened while I was ripping on it, but when I let go is the only time it happens. I had a full tank of air, gun tuned right, the only thing I could think of would be old balls, but that still shouldnt matter that much. The sensi drop test works perfect. My coach thinks I am outshooting my egg, which may be, but wouldnt sensi still catch on to that? I havbe no idea. He seems to think it might be the hammer is a little too far back or sumthin along those lines, but we have been working on it and cant seem to figure it out. Any help by a tech would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What hopper and sensi modes are you using?

Ram adjustment: The bolt pin should click into the hammer by touching the BACK of it.

Bolt stick is either a dry ram, faulty solenoid, or paint lodged in-between the bolt and rotor breech. Sounds like it's the chopping, leading to paint pieces on the bolt.

Please answer those and I should be able to help.

hopper = egg2 with y board cranked up all the way
Sensi = mode 2
and yeah we were thinknig the ram and hammer deal because it used to click into place, but it dosnt anymore, which leads us to believe it is that
The bolt stick is caused by the paint shells lodged in between, sorry thought I said sumthin about that.

So you think it is just the ram/hammer acting up and needs adjustment?

That sounds like something to rule out.

But why do I Keep chopping? Im not catching on to why it would chop even though sensi is on, and working fine.

Your bolt will stick if your ram is dry. When the bolt sticks as well, you will probably have a chop in there as well. Anyways, take some love juice and put 1-2 drops in the ram/hammer area (breech) and put one through the macroline. Then air it up and dry fire it a little.

This is defiently your problem if your gun is starting to sound a little louder than usual. When you put some love juice in it, it gets all quiet again. Lol, you should see matrix's when they aren't lubed up, they are insanely loud and its soo weird compared to how quiet they are when lubed well.

Try this:

First ensure that the gun is off and degassed.
remove the barrel
Put your hopper on with some paint and look down the front of the gun
Can you see a bit of the second ball in the stack?

If so that's why you're chopping and your bolt is sticking. When the bolt comes forward it's catching the second ball and cutting it. And the sensi sees the first ball so....

Just a thought.

is you ram adjusted far enough forward?

if not....

while you are ripping fast the balls are in and out, bip, bip, bip, no problem....when you slow down one ball hits the sensi and rolls back twords the bolt a little letting half of the next ball to load.

this will only happen when the ram is out of adjustment.....your sensi would likely still 'feel' the ball

................wow...........i think we posted that at the same time acoenfam1.....well you beat me by a little

it's because of the ram is out of adjustment, I doubt you could out shoot your egg and even if you could sensi would keep you from chopping.

Hey Adam... what's the news man? You get your gun working yet?

ok well, got it working today. Turns out it was my hopper messing it up. I cut my feedneck down a little bit so it would fit down on the speed a little bit. Guess what was happening was a ball wouldnt fit right exactly on the eye and it wouldnt feed fast enough at times or it would push down an extra ball a little bit so the eye would be lined up.
But yeah everything is workng fine now, my gun wasnt wrong it was the hopper so now I just need to order a new feedneck and I will be good. Thanks for the help

Change of sotry, played a tournament today, chopped at least once every game. Then once the tourney was over our team had a little bit of practice going on and my gun was back to its same old story of chopping and getting stuck forward. At least it didnt happen during the tourney, but it is still happening and I wasnt even using my cut down feedneck hopper, a different Evo 2 with Y.

Is there any Tech out there that knows what is going on? My local tech and I cant figure out what it is doing. Is this something I should send it in to the factory to be worked on or what? I am kind of lost on what to do here. Any help by anyone who knows would be great.

Gasp! You mean there was something Chuck couldn't fix? Perish the thought...

But seriously, it might have just been that crap paint we were using because I had the same problem. Only I was "lucky" and had it happen during the tournament... but we still won.... so oh well.

yeah, we got soo tired and sloppy towards the end. Although we still hold the title of being undefeated in the first three rounds.

hm... it may be worth sending to a tech and getting the dwell, ram stroke, lpr, etc all set right.

I have no idea what is causing that. There are enough service centers you are prolly close to one.
