? about lcd part in my le

I have a crome 99 LE and i had a tech put in a new brass hammer,valve and valve stem and a new valve spring.Now the valve and stem are fine.What i was wondering about is the brass hammer on my stock hammer the end that hits the valve stem is flat.Now on the new hammer there is a whole that in the center for the valve stem to go.Now on my ? is would the new hammer not make the stem go in as far as the stock one because of the whole any help would be great.

It doesn't make a difference. The hole in the LCD ram isn't deep enough to make a difference in how far the stem goes in.
