On Fri Afternoon I went in to the pro shop, had my AIR topped off to 4500. I left all of my gear in the back of my truck for the duration of the night and all of sat. In the evening I pulled my marker out and was showing the LCD Screens to someone and I noticed my Pressure was down to 3000. I know that the pressure lowers as a tank cools off, but I cannot image loosing 1500psi. I had turned the output pressue off, that is how I always store it, do you think there is a problem or does air react that way some time.
Oh BTW the tank temp was around 86 degrees (f) when I checked.
Let me know what you think I am a little concerned...

sounds like a small leak....maybe a piston o-ring, or rocket o-ring...at worst it could be a main seal. :dunno: when was the last time you had the reg rebuilt and cleaned etc? I clean my AIR reg about every 3 months and regrease it, and replace any o-rings that need it.

I have never rebuilt it, is it somethign hard to do?
I am kinda of worried about ripping apart my tank/reg.

it's not really hard to do, but you do need the AIR tool to get access to the main seal.
the manual gives you some diagrams, but that's about it. It is fairly straight forward tho.

My AIR tank will do the same thing but it goes till it's empty. It takes a couple of days though and I have leak checked it several times. I have tried to get in touch with Ken Crane because he has a fix for it. I have changed the main seal twice.

If so, my school guidance counselor owes me an apology...
Nah, I'm pretty sure I have the normal mental capacity and motor skills to be considered "normal"

I have the same problem with mine. I am pretty sure its becasue you cant use loktite on the reg and bottle screw in. I dont have any of the angel AIR grease to seal it up but I did crank it on there nice and tight once and the leaking slowed up a bit so thats my best guess. And my tank leaks till I get the LP on it and im sure it goes till empty, it does take aboot a day to empty.Oh and Emmit like the angel there are alternatives to using the tool kit do you have to have the Angel AIR tool kit to tear it apart and rebuild it or is there something else you can use in replace of the AIR tool kit?

Ronny......to remove the brass peice holding in the main seal you WILL need the Angel AIR tool, there's no real way around it.
