Since buying my new/used 2k LCD in March/03 I have had nothing but playing perfection out of my Angel.
Fast (enough for me, I'm a pump player mostly), balanced, comfortable, light (IMHO), accurate (w/ my freak), consistant (with my Air & Halo) and reliable (virtually maintenance free).
Anwyays, last night I decided to dis-assemble my LCD for it's singular, yearly maintenance.
Tool Kit in hand, and following the manual; I dis-assembled, cleaned, oiled, and re-assembled the marker without a hitch.

Ok, one hitch (to make a long story short), she won't power up when I switch it to ON.
When I was putting the grip frame back on, I did pinch the battery connections (wires) just a little before I realized they were caught between the frame and the body. However, it was only slightly crimped, and it looks as if it was just the wire shrouds (red & black).
I disconnected and dis-assembled it all again, and put her back together extra careful the 2nd time around. Nothing was out of order, everything was/is as it should be...still, no power from the NiMH battery.
The connections are all snugly in their respective sockets and whatnot.
Could that little wire goof be the problem? Damage looks to be almost unnoticeble, are they really that frail?
Thing is, I plugged the LCD in to the charger/wall adapter and I got power to the board (Tab In & backlight) but it seems as if no power is coming from the NiMH battery alone.
Also, the charging cycle didn't activate which leads me to believe that if the wires were damaged, the power flow from the charger can't cycle to the battery just like the battery power can't cycle to the board. Make sense to anybody but me? I need a second opinion here.
Either I've screwed up the battery connections...OR, my On/Off switch is messed. It sprung apart during "cleaning" and although I found the two parts that went flying unto the carpet and put it back together as I thought it should...but admittedly, that too could be the problem.
Any diagrams for a non-recessed On/Off switch conversion? It's the only other source I can think of for this problem I have.
Both perhaps?
Suggestions? There aren't any Angel techs. I know of in my area, and I'd rather not send out to the US for a fix (Angel Guy), I'm in Canada and it's a real pain in the wazoo.
Any help would be very, VERY much appreciated.....eh!
