If i have my output pressure adjusted at like 450 psi for my speed...what dwell do u think i should have it at?...maybe 12 milliseconds?

I have mine at 11 at the same output pressure, works fine for me.

If i understand the theory right, with a lower input pressure you can raise the dwell to be easier on paint. I have mine on 16 but my input is 200PSI. That might be abit high though i never break paint anymore - even with sensi off

Is it still good on air? I have mine on 13 with the large volumizer and my tank is set to 180 psi

Good lord Khaotic! That's one overly high dwell setting. What is your LPR at?

does the higher dwell settign mean it is less effecient ? Even with a lower operating pressure? Because i have a 45/45 max flow so effeciency is important to me .

I got this out of an old issue of PGI but this is how I set my dwells:

-With the dwell set what you know is high (gun is REAL loud) shoot across a chrono and get your desired velocity.
-Now while still shooting over the chrono lower your dwell untill you notice a signifigant drop in velocity.
-Raise your dwell up just past where your velocity stabilizes and your done.

After all it makes no sense to have your dwell higher that the point where you get gains from it. Using this I've gotten 800-900 shots from a full 3000 psi (68 cuin) tank and my IR3 with room to spare.

or just put your dwell to the lowest setting set fps to desired setting(depending where u play) and while shooting over chrono raise dwell until the fps starts to drop voila your marker is set to the optimum dwell setting
both procedures will work just thought i would throw that one out there along with yours acoenfam1

aight peace
