View Full Version : Speed Demon inbound

Just finished ordering my Speed Demon and I was just interested in what you all thought I should know before taking it out. This is now my third Angel so I've got a good idea about the basic operation what I'm asking about are the little things. You know like how the IR3 has that little "break in" period of around 8K shots before you need to recheck the LPR that kind of stuff.

i hope you are disconnecting it at intervals...its not helping if you arent..

I take it then that the battery is similar to an IR3's. Drops from a full charge to 3/4 charge quickly. Does it hold the 3/4 charge like a IR3 does, ie for like 10k cycles?

the battery in the Speed is 4.7v vs the 6v in the previous Angels

yes....i have been charging it for like 5 hrs(once i get home from work)untill i go to bed...then i unplug for the night!

basically i just charge my speed when ever i feel like it. basically after eache time i play. the scale is never accurate, so just charge it after u play and u'll have no probs. and of course at least 2 full charges when u get it.

when you say at least two full charges. How do you charge it 2 times before you use it. Dont You have to use it before the battery runs out and you have to charge it agin?

battery says full but it isn`t.

Charge...until it`s ready(approx. 4Hrs) unplug.
Charge again.

Naw I'm pretty sure the speed has one of the new batteries. The NICAD's are the ones that have a "memory".

if u have a tool kit it should be at 80 or so.

That explains the battery charging issue with a different solenoid installed.
