Dave from New Designz told me that his IR3 bolt would be out in the next 2- 3 weeks. While this is not the biggest news, I thought some people might be interested.

are you talking about new designs or DEZigns? just wondering because i believe DEZ already has them.

Good I was wondering what after market bolt to pick up for my IR3. I did not want to send it to Cobra for a bolt.

I will get their IR3 bolt a soon as it comes out and i'll tell you how it preforms.

I was under the impression that any aftermarket bolt would be a drop-in upgrade; am i wrong? I just ordered a cobra iR3 bolt and nobody said anything to me about sending the gun in...

you can install the bolt yourself.

Any idea why cobra stopped making the "custom" bolt? Was it because breach tolerances have improved to such a degree that the added "custom" fit is not worth the add cost or is it an economy of scale situation?

I will buy the New Designz bolt when it is released. I bought one for my FF Impluse love it.

I'm waiting to try the ND bolt.

A friend of mine ordered a IR3 DEZign bolt for me to try a couple of months ago. The fit was really great and I found a big improvement over the stock bolt, in velocity and consistancy.

Hi All,
got a nice email from Antonin (Tony) Blazek @ www.newdesignz.com and here is a picture of what is currently being tested. Sounds like they are getting close. Can't wait till these babies hit the street.

Have you all seen the new Warped Sportz R11 bolt for the IR3 yet??

I will still stick to my Cobra bolt as of now. I can't see it make that much of a difference over the Cobra. Hopefully someone will do a comparison soon?

That Warped Sportz R11 bolt looks hot. I'll have to try that one.

I've got a DEZign bolt now and it's a big difference from the stock bolt. I got 15+ fps higher velocity over the stock bolt. The fit is real good and the consistancy shot to shot is really improved.
As far as I'm concerned, the price is fully justified. The quality and fit is really good. You can see the personal effort and the extra workmanship that's been put into the bolt. Each is basically custom built to order and individually numbered for future ID.

I've tried all sorts of bolts for my LCDs and now the IR3, over the years. Basically, the DEZign bolt is a hand built, custom bolt and the others are not. You can see the quality difference immediately and I think it has the performance to match.

I can't say much about the New Designs bolt because, I haven't tried one yet.
