Ok first is, do i have to turn the reg pressure all the way down to 0 before i fill it each time? My local field does not have one of those bauer compressors, so should i be ok?

The second is, i got that macroline on/off for my gun. Do I need to get that screw thing from cobra to turn off the reg? Or do i even need to turn off the reg on the tank?

Any other upgrades that i should buy?

Cobra makes a On/Off Thumb Screw but its extremely hard to turn even with the wrench around 400psi if you have the newer AIR with little doughnut thing on the end of the reg. The reg in this pic is the older style. If you have the older style its worth getting. Look at the On/off air post for more info.

so your saying that if i have the newer style reg that i don't have to turn the reg off through the wrench and i can just leave it?

i dissagree with superfly about the cobra thumb screw being hard to turn around 400psi, i have one on my AIR and i can turn it all the way in when filled with no problem, i would suggest seeing if you thumb screw lock is tightened because if it is it will be hard to turn.

I was just informing others about what Cobra told me about it been put on the newer regs. They said its hard on the newer style but not on the older style. Thats just things people have called them about with problems. Cuz I was going to order one and he stopped and asked me do you have a newer reg. Best thing is either find someone with one already and try it or buy it. If it don't work, sell it. Might work for you but not for someone else. Look at on/off on a AIR????? post for more info.

I have got the Cobra adjuster on per 2002 air works great. When I did take to them at Cobra they did say on the newer air it was a little more difficult.

just for ***** and giggles, i have a preset PE tank at 850psi and i have th cobra on/off thumb screw thing and i can attest to the fact that it is hard to screw in/out, but not overly difficult.
