What will happen if I run an unregulated 800 psi tank into my IR3? using just the mini reg on the front grip?

u mean into the mini... using the mini to regulate the pressure down, or running 800 psi using teh mini as a gas thru?

if you are using the mini reg, nothing. if you are using a gas thru grip, kablooeey. :microwave :wall:

i was hoping he'd respond first

plus since pbnation said the server was too busy. to adjust teh back screw on teh trigger, just stick your allen key where teh spring goes, and turn away until your desired length

You can use whatever you want for a tank to air up a IR3 as long as your air line will take it and if your still using the stock mini-reg to regulate your FPS. I've seen 1200 psi out of a tank that lost its second stage and put 1200 psi right into the gun but before it did anything the Macro line blew. Besides that the mini-reg will regulate it down to the 400 psi or so unless you gutted it and this is why I dont gut my mini-reg. It's a fail safe incase your air reg went bad. Wont toss your 14 way if you always use the stock mini-reg.
Hard lesson learned if you gut,

Yeah I was wondering if the minireg can handle the psi being over 600, or not? the manual said the IR3 cannot handle over 600 psi. I was wondering if that meant before it got to the minireg. So If I have 800 psi running into the minireg, then into the gun that should be fine? and i did ask this in pbnation

You wil be fine running 800 psi into your IR3 as long as you use the mini-reg to adjust your FPS.

my biggest reason against gutting the minireg!

at least with the AIR you've got the overpressure relief of the AIR at 850psi....

I remember that; it scared the crap out of both of us!

if 750psi or greater goes through the gun past minireg your 14-way gasket will go if your lucky, otherwise solenoid will blow.

edit* yes as said below if your lpr goes it doenst matter what your input is really unless your input is like 100psi if its high your done dotta.

dont forget the lpr is there 2, so there is still one more line of defense inside the gun, if the lpr goes then all hell is gonna break loose
