Whats the black crap?

Hey I just got my IR3- So very stoked! Nonetheless- the bolt is not what i expected. I have only seen LCD aftermarket bolts- so I dont know what exactly to expect for a stock IR3 bolt.

Nonetheless, the bolt has alot of black shavings/dust and its kinda rough to the toutch. Is this normal? This does not seem like WDP quality to me, but who knows, prehaps it will get better after it is used.

Speaking of bolts, any word on the ND bolt for the IR3?

Mine was kinda the same. No problems with mine. Try the Cobra IR3 bolt. It'll lower op pressure by a bit. Functionally the only difference in the IR3 bolt and LCD is a little milling to accomedate the COPS. I think.

Yeah...the black stuff just looks like pieces of the packing foam that has rubbed off. No worries, just wipe it off .

Nonetheless my bolt looked like it had 20k shots on it when I got it even though it was brand new. Rather deep grooves in it. Disturbing but it shot well so I figured what the hey.

Now if I can jsut stop the grips from peeling....

I seem to be getting scratches in the breech from my bolt, it has a rough edge aroud the front side, is this a problem?
