Will the Angel 4 LCD board be available separate? and would it fit into a speed and vise versa...I dont see why not, they are essentially the same marker and I would really like to have my features back from my ir3. Any help would be nice...Thanks.
Kyle.

that would be great, slap a angel 4 space frame (for the vernier trigger) and a 4 board and i would have that lcd screen i want!

well seeing as that would really cut their sales in half i doubt they would do that anytime soon, maybe after the a4 is older but not from the start

when it is released call cobra and talk to walter, i'm sure he'll be able to get you one if they're compatilbe with the speed.

ahh that would be sweet
the vernier wheels will not work on the speed. look closely and you will see that they are cut into the body, not the frame

IIRC the Angel 4 board will work a Speed, although you're obviously going to have to pay a lot for it. Many of the other internals are also interchangeable, since the pair share a common engine, and you can have an Angel 4 feed neck fitted to a Speed. Although I haven't asked/checked, my guess is that the new 14-way will not be interchangeable and as noted above, the Angel 4 frame cannot to be retrofitted to a Speed.

i talked to someone at the WDP booth and he said the 4 board will fit in the speed and it will be around 150$, but then i also asked a tech at one of the booths in the players prep area and he said it wouldnt......

as far as i know, all angel boards that you get from a tech will cost $250 (at least that's what walter at cobra told me, and that's what my ir3 board cost)

well maybe someone with an angel 4 in the future would want a speed led board?...LOL then i could trade mine plus some dough...I dunno id just like to have my timers and stuff back. Not a big deal and not worth $250, but it would be more convenient.

Yeah, I will definately buy the A4 board if possible. Would be good to have shot counter (Most people dont care about this but I do) and timer and everything.

JT, yeah, the 14 way is the solenoid. It won't be compatible, because it's a different solenoid and it's housed differently.

I have 3 questions.
1. Does the A4 board have the "semi-auto" restriction on it?
2. If not, will the A4 board fit in a iR3?
3. Is there anything on the A4 that makes stand out as a better marker than the iR3? (other than the knobs for trigger adjustments)
Thank you for your time.

according to the techs, the A4s are suppose to have all 12 modes unlocked. i don't know if the A4 board will work in an iR3 because of the different voltages in the batteries and IMO there isn't really anything that makes the A4 stand out over the iR3 except for a few things like the soft-bolt and the lock gated feed but you could put thoes on your iR3 if you wanted to. (low pressure and being lighter doesn't really matter to me)

Yeah, the A4 only offers the LP (which I think is WAAYYY over rated in the paintball industry. Show me one thing that a Shocker, Impulse, Excalibur, or any other LP marker has over even an old higher pressure LED angel. Except for guzzling twice the air) and a smaller body. I actually prefer my IR3, because I don't care for the way the trigger is set up on the new A4. I do like the idea of the smaller, lighter body though, and the new board is capped at 31 bps, as opposed to the IR3's 20 (makes it easier to hit higher ROF's. I've heard rumour that WAS is considering doing an IR3 board with 30ish bps capability though. Who knows if that'll ever materialize) My IR3 is running at 450 psi input, and the A4 will run on 300, so it's only 150 psi anyway. Woo hoo. If they come out with a decent looking Rock A4, then I might consider it, but as for now, it's nothing I'm desperate to trade my IR3 for.
They say that the new A4 will have all 12 modes unlocked (a step in the WRONG direction, if you ask me, but if they think that'll draw in more customers, then that's fine I guess), and I doubt the board will be reverse compatible.

the board is physically shaped the same so it will fit in the frame. having it work though is a different story and i don't have that answer yet. the a4 boards will be for sale by cobra and possibly warped but i doubt they will be selling them at tournaments.

they should be able to work tough wouldnt they, because the wheel thingers are part of the trigger not the board..i think...
